  I'm coming out

  i just found out that i have breast cancer on thursday (see topic http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/medical/190249/1/i-was-in-the-hospital ).

  my sister has breast cancer too.

  she has had it longer than me.

  it's ok.... to post here on the internet, on jwn, and other jw related forums.. first of all, as we all know, the governing body doesn't provide a forum for jw's to "associate" with their brothers and sisters.

  i'm just guessing, and i could be wrong, that its harder to control the flock when they have free access to information and each other.

  damn electricity and the technology it brings..... anyway, i realize that for anyone leaving, or for practicing jw's, to post is a nervous thing.

  It is very tough when you have family still in, very, very difficult to just walk away. I'm one of the lucky ones, all my family are out so I have no ties. As for old friends...well if they want to shun me they are free to do so. I don't do conditional.

  Hopefully one day you will be totally free from them.

  so today was my first sunday meeting that i didn't go with my wife.

  as an update she has decided not to move out right now...because she doesn't have anywhere to go.

  but she is giving me the silent treatment.

  Keep doing what you're doing. You say she is a loving person so she is going to respond to love. She just needs to let her anger die down a bit.

  1. The quicker I got in solving what the scribble meant the harder they seem to get, so I clicked the remember me button and I stay logged on.

  2. I like a good debate, even those that get heated but I hate insults and personal attacks because there is absolutely no need.

  Understanding Revelation (According to the JWs)

  will you please explain to me the understanding of how the 7 trumpet blasts in revelation were fulfilled?

  I think the WT interprets the 'trumpet blasts' to make it look like they are the fulfillment.

  I can't remember now but wasn't it to do with Cedar Point convention and the release of different leaflets/announcements at other conventions condemning the clergy during the 20's.

  Revelation has been fulfilled apart from B the G, although fallen has not yet been destroyed. Of course the big A will follow hot on the destruction of B the G.

  I threw all my books/mags out so have nothing to reference now.

  I'm sure Debator will fill us in though.

  ps - I know this was directed at Debator or other current JWs but it yanked some very bad memories to the surface and I had to put my 2pence worth in.
