In-laws are here for my wifes District Convention

as i've stated in my previous posts, i am not a jw but my wife is and it's that time of year when the conventions are going on.

my wife's parents and sister/husband live in az while we live in ca.

they haven't come to visit since i've had a little falling out with my inlaws last year about studying with my son by phone behind my back when normally we would visit each other at least 3 - 4 times/year each.

Ladies, how do you feel about be called a "weaker vessel"?

only after joining the jehovah's witnesses did i ever hear women referred to as "weaker vessels".

how does that make you feel?.

there are physical and mentally weak women,,,,as well as physical and mentally weak men....so,,,,who is stronger....in my opinion,,,,it all depends on what the situation is.....as for being the "weaker vessel"....it is what the bible states....

Elder keeps calling and calling and calling

by troubled mind in

since the sheparding visit a few weeks ago i have had three phone calls and two drop bys from the elders .

we have been gone both times they stopped by (but our son saw them and did not answer the door ).

the phone messages are directed to me not my husband, and the one left today he sounded a bit on edge .

CALL THEM....just be nice,,,thank them for their time and effort...and that you do not wish to be contacted anymore....tell them it is just personal and that should you change your mind,,,,you will call them.....it is just my feeling,,,but....if you do not hit it head on,,,,they will NEVER leave you alone...good luck,,,,,,
