and so it begins... what next?
by bez inmy husband had another 'phone call' last night from the congregation po... the conversation went something like this..... po " i do not want to put words into your mouth but are you saying you no longer want to be recognised as a jw?".
hubby " i am not making that statement no... cut to the chase what are you getting at".
po " i have been informed you celebrated (child) birthday".

As far as I know the new flock book is not out, so the elders should not be aware of this brazen attitude. Some have given advice to lay low and not answer the direct questions but that you are both going through a tough time and battling depression etc. This is a sticky situation but if they think you may celebrate christmas I am sure you will be getting drive bys.

The Watchtower never shares with us WHY some members of the governing body have left or stepped down.
Very true and NOT that I am defending the WTS....but any corporation with executives/board of directors usually do not disclose "why" someone left or stepped aside. When they "reassign" or sweep under the rug crimes that is where they ALL cross the line.

Debator, I will look at that document this week. Believe me I just want to know what is true.
Notice the difference. In 2005, NGOs must support the principles of the UN Charter. In 1994, the NGOs must simply share the same ideals.
Splitting hairs on support/share and principles/ideals? What are the obvious differences with these definitions? In all seriousness I would love for you to explain what the complete difference are on these phrases? When I read that those phrases are similiar in meaning.
Note: I attempted to post the definitions of support, share, priniciples and ideals....the HTML code was messed up.

Debator Coffee is correct. Do a simple google search and this is what I found. If the DPI is not part of the UN then why are they included on the UN website as:
The above photo is the DPI-UN on the"top bar" of web site. How can you say they are not the UN??
