When I was reading it, I could not help to think that you can pick any subject on the planet and create an essay on that subject with a bible scripture not just religions.

since realizing that the watchtower bible and tract society is not god's organization, everything that they say, not coming directly from the bible, has to be questioned and exposed to the light of truth.
the same should be done to all religious organizations since most do have their own set of unique beliefs which according to them sets that particular religion apart from all others, thereby making it better, more spiritual, closer to true worship, and having god's approval that other religions do not have.
sometimes even claiming that they alone can provide what mankind needs, spiritually, for salvation and that all other religions represent the "wide road" leading to eternal destruction during the judgement day or armageddon..

once again my wife and i were sent the " witness only " wt version by our lurking jw friend that they study at wt study meetings.
and once again wt society is showing very controlling tendencies towards it's jw members.. do any of you remember the " old days " in the 1970's or early 1980's when witnesses used to have goody night after book study ?
or you would have a " potluck picnic " with about 30 to 40 people getting to know one another to draw close as friends outside the confines of the kingdom hall ?
All I can say is thanks for reading the wretched article and telling us about it.
Although I will probably be at that study, I would not be able to tell you in a million years afterward what it was about. I have become a professional at turning the switch off! During the WT study I have the pen in my hand and write down the names of people that comment, one of these days I will have stats on age groups, years of service, status in the hall.
Nahhh, I probably won't but that was my intent when I started I have no desire to my energy there anymore.

All I know is when my family starts in about the paradise I am having fun playing with their minds. I have even told a family member that agonized over something she did and hoped it would not ruin her chances of getting into paradise that "it will be ok their are no tears and sorrow in paradise so no one will miss you"

If your going to tell them they are shunning you because of religion make sure give a witness!
The odds of it coming back around to your family are very slim, so I would not worry about it and at the end of the day it is there word against yours because words do get twisted the more they are spoke.

People tend to trust a title rather than the person behind the title, at the end of the day the Dr. has his own problems.
The best route is going with referrals and if you do not have referrals search online and go with your gut, their are excellent, honest people out their that won't bend you over in pricing.
