the call lasted approximately five hours and many people called in and we discussed a number of topics.
for reasons we will not bring up,the nude picture that appeared in the 1927 watchtower publication "creation" and which we brought up on this conference call deeply disturbed puplishingcult.

these folks have done wonderful work and make up a vast apostate army to take on the wts and their lies, and, they do so with integrity, and respect for truth.
if you are going to point your finger and call the wtbts liars, if you are going to put yourself on the line and take up the mantle of exposing those lies, and offer criticism, you should do so from the moral high ground of integrity and truthfulness.. .

Ray, the majority of us think that combatting the WTBTS and their lies shouldn't be done with sensationalism, grandstanding, bigotry, lies, and half-truths, and deceptions.
Childish is wild speculation and attributing nefarioius motives to Rutherford for using the artwork, and childish is painting a masterful work of art as blasphemous, lude, perverted- attributing homosexual themes to it, and using it as a pretext to condemn homosexuality.
The Bible, in fact, does NOT condemn homosexuality. That is a lie born out of mistranslation of the original language text, misinterpretation absent of historical context. So, if you are going to use the Bible to condemn homosexuality, you'd better not be wearing poly-cotton blend underwear and you'd better be abstaining from all forms of "uncleanness" yourself. Rafter. Rafter. :)

He takes a few sound bites and attempts to persuade his viewers that all the information coming of The Six Screens is inaccurate and not to be trusted.
Awww, not fair, eh, Mr. Fearon? If ANY of the information coming from Six Screens (whatever the hell six screens is supposed to mean) is innaccurate, it calls into question ALL of the information.
As for the controversial picture perhaps the artist was not suggesting a sexual act behind the cross of Jesus.... But the picture certainly does not settle well in the minds of many. The real issue is why would The Watchtower org. use it?
You can only speculate and you gladly entertain some wild and unfounded speculation. It really never occurred to you that Rutherford was just as vain as he might have been "perverted"? That he was simply being pretentious and audacious with his taste for art? It was lunacy. It was also your opportunity and platform to express your bitter homophobia while rattling the cages of your prozac following. Nice job. Perhaps it was pointed out to you that the painting was not depicting a sexual act days before your conference call, and perhaps you didn't care about the truth, and perhaps you ran with the absurdity anyway because you have an ax to grind against both homosexuals and the WTBTS, and you will resort to any lie or half-truth to reach your aim. It's a little late to walk this back. You could have done that before the conference call.
As for calling in? I posted my concerns on your original post/plug for the conference call, as did many others, to which you did not respond. I sent you an email strongly voicing my concern on Youtube, which you simply ignored.

Aubrey's (Whisky's) tactics are very JW. I grew up with it. It's subterfuge as the main course of any spirited discourse. He has no valid argument, cannot support his irrational beliefs and the reasons for them, and if I fall on the side of equality and respect for gays, then I must be gay which is suppose to invalidate my argument. Childish.

An argument against atheism: It's hopeless

that its simply a hopeless way to live one's life.
believers give this argument, not passionately, but almost desicively, as if clearly a outlook they don't want for life is a wrong outlook.. is there anything you can do to reason with such ones?

Indeed.
A theist's beliefs are based on things that are invisible, unprovable and untestable. Might as well believe in unicorns and dragons. The very existence of god violates the very laws of physics and nature he is supposed to have established. His existence is impossible.
An atheist doesn't believe in things that are unprovable and untestable.

Noah's Missing Dove, Tower of Babel and Sumer
by doubtful ini was reading genesis again today - chapter 8 and 9. and here are two additional curiosities i found now that the blinders are off.. 8:12 - apparently noah releases this mischevious explorer dove, who in verse 12, ends up never coming back.
this raises three questions.
for one, why would noah have to send out a bird three times to explore for dry land in order to see if it was safe to exit the ark?

Strange that they were all homosexuals though. How could the entire population of a city like Sodom be homosexual? How did they reproduce? If they sacrificed children so much, then how was their population so large and intidimidating so as to inspire tremendous fear in the hearts of the Israelites, whose army numbered 600,000 men of war?
They weren't all or even mostly homosexual.
Humiliating your enemy captives after a war by "sodomizing" them was common among many of the nations, and not just S and G. It was an act of dominance and power, and it was sometimes even done to new strangers in town. Rape is about power and control, not sex.
