And exactly who are we praying to...a deity that keeps count of prayers and if that number is not met "OH well not enough prayers so F**K you" god...

Why does god need to be prayed to in order to do the right thing...does he hold count on how many prayers have been prayed in order to act...the god business has been in place for thousands of years in order for mere humans to comprehend the unknown as if prayers to a deity will cure some ill "If I just pray enough" crap...god is a myth that humans rely on to explain the unexplainable pure and simple...

Wanted to get reinstated... Almost ready to give up
by headisspinning ini'd like to hear from anyone who was disfellowshipped but fully intended to go back as soon as possible and how that worked out or didn't.
i'd like to hear how soon you went back to meetings, how many letters requesting reinstatement you wrote, how you were treated, and how long it took you to get bitter and jaded.... or in the off chance you had a positive experience, what exactly happened.. really struggling here... thanks!.

Well blooming I have never been married spent 28 years in the borg expecting the "END" anytime but from the experiences of my family and friends this seems to be the norm. Everyone of my sisters (3) and brothers (2) have or are going thru the same thing. One sister told me, "I don't know who this man I married is" and they have been married 23 years. It seems like (as others have mentioned) the bloom of the initial attraction wears off and there is nothing left.

Fading vs. D'F'd
by Band on the Run ini don't know the details.
is it true that if you slowly withdraw, you are free to go but if you are active and do an offense, you are shunned.
is their principle whether you are appropriating and blemishing the name vs. severity of the actual offense.
