Mad-
Out of the many things that the WTS teaches as truth, how many of those things do you disagree with and why?

Leper messiah- another great song by the way, but back to the Cult. My parents really would crack down on my music. Because "born" was a cover of a song I heard many times on their own radios I used that as an excuse to blast my version. I like anything by the Cult, just have a special place for "born"

Yes. Actually received some after the meeting instruction from an over zealous elder on how I could do a better job during the watchtower study. One way was not to sit down between paragraphs. I tied to explain that I had a hangover and it felt good to sit down, but that didn't change his hardline view.

Tons and tons of Elders letters.
by callitquits76 ini have tons of elders letters which were part of a website about 7 years ago and if my memory proves correct it was taken down due to bullying by the society.. i was wondering if these letters were still out there somewhere, because if not i'll upload them.
they are all in catergories.
might be useful.

New site exposing "jehovahsjudgment"
by middleman inmany of you are already familiar with the watchtower's 10 year association with the un.
there's also a good amount of us that are familiar with the "flagship" rebuttal site of this association---> http://www.jehovahsjudgment.co.uk/watchtower-un-ngo/.
time and time again i have been referred to this website when talking to jw's about this issue.

You are not alone in your experience, though it was on a different subject. The WTS is well aware of the fact that many of their letters are ending up on the internet for public examination so they have put the wraps on them. Still some good people don't comply from time to time and we get to sneak a peak into the minds of those blessed leaders.

If still "in", how do you feel when praying in front of a group despite being in doubt of your beliefs?
by Crisis of Conscience init happened to me this weekend.
i'm curently "active" and had some long time friends from a different congregation over for dinner.. we went through the formality of praying before the meal.
normally or rather lately i've been passing it off to someone else.

I'm still semi-active but don't have to worry about praying at the meetings or anywhere else, just at my house. The focus of the prayers have changed. No more Slave this or Spiritual Food that. My kids have even seen the difference and commented positively. My thoughts come more from my heart now and I feel better. COC if your in and going to stay in for a while I guess you'll have to find a way to focus on non-org. subjects in your prayers. If anyone notices they probably will not say anything to you. I'm not ready to cut ties with all the family that I have in the org. either so I feel your pain though I know it's inevitable.

In the summer months the brothers would leave the windows open and run fans at the theo. sch./sev. mtg. to save money. They had a huge fan at the side of the stage to keep the speakers comfortable. One night during the prayer I looked up to see the brothers comb over flapped over to the wrong side and waving horizontal in the air like it was suspended from the ceiling. I nudged a friend of mine and nodded at the stage. We both lost it 6 rows from the stage and didn't bother running to the back. When the prayer was over and the brother walked off stage the comb over fell flat against the side of his head which reignighted the laughter.
