LOL
That is EXACTLY how a Saturday morning group worked when I was a JW......and I was the elder leading the group! LOL
i havent been going door to door saturday mornings for since i can't remember when.
i have been putting in regular reports to the congregation but the last time i actually went on a door was probably six months ago or so and it has been at least 2 years since i did a saturday morning.
9:30 we showed up to the group arrangement, we waited outside because we were not sure that it was the right place.
LOL

if i ever get the threat of being df'd i think i will say :.
" the religion i left a few years ago no longer exists, you can't disfellowship me from a religion that i never had fellowship in !"..
i know this will make no difference at all, as would whatever i said if they had made up their minds, but it would point out how very very silly the whole idea would be.. any other ideas to briefly sum up what a stupid thing dfing is ?.
Why give them any power whatsoever?
They are a joke......a mock 'authority' in a cult.
I would simply laugh at them.....a lot.
i have heard so many jws complain about isis and how cruel and sadistic and pitiless they are.
all my mind can think about is how their techniques are so similiar to the ancient israelites under joshua that the jws feel are heroes and champions of true worship.. role models for kids.
isis believes that non-believers who do not subscribe to their world view should be killed in brutal ways.
Because the Society says so.
Don't cha know?
my husband and i (both born in jws with extended family all "in" except for one of my sisters who left when we did) left the church 5 years ago.
we did not fade, we just didn't believe it anymore, told our families so and left.
obviously, big drama in our family after this, messy feelings, etc.
Psalm 146:3
Ask her if she believes it. When she answers "yes, of course".......ask her why she obeys 7 men in NY no matter what they say or do
Keep it very simple....and don't answer anything for her..........let her brain churn
it takes time to stop thinking or reacting like a jehovah's witness.. are you still judgmental?
a know it all?
a person that listens more with their heart instead of their head---like jehovah's witnesses ???.
Dramatically.
I have a true, to the core "live and let live" attitude. Unless it's hurting people or causing danger, do whatever the hell you want.
Does anyone know if she was still a JW at her time of death?
the july 15th, 2014 issue of the watchtower has the "life story" of gb member gerrit losch on pages 17-22.. think about it.
this losch love-fest is 6 pages of the current wt!.
that's nearly 20% of the ragazine.. is this the beginning of a series of idolatrous articles indoctrinating jws with gb worship?
Data-Dog is 100% correct.
There is no question in my mind that they are working with a PR firm or someone in Bethel that is educated in PR
as i am typing this post i am constantly looking over my shoulder to see if anybody is at my bedroom door lol guys i know i am stuck in a a cult.
but this s*** is f****** crazy!!!!.
w13 11/15 p.16 par.17 -- " at that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from jehovahs organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.
I'm so encouraged to see that young people are waking up to this devious trap called Jehovah's Witnesses.
Please keep walking and don't look back!
Signed,
Wasted 40 Years
this famous line from proverbs 27:23 (in the old nwt) is used for elders and the organization to justify field service reports.
but, what is this verse talking about?
is it about overseers in the congregation?
As a former elder I can tell you I had this argument many, many times.
People are put on restrictions or disciplined........and they never hear from the elders again. There is not teaching or nurturing......they have to go remind the elders that they would like off their restrictions.
I can't emphasize enough what a complete joke the 'elder arrangement' is among Jehovah's Witnesses.
well it looks like the wt was slowly moving away from the blood ban going back to the 1990's but not sure of some things i have read concerning thier comments about blood moving through the placenta?.
that some protein fractions from the plasma do move naturally into the blood system of another individual (the fetus) may be another consideration when a christian is deciding whether he will accept immune globulin, albumin, or similar injections of plasma fractions.
one person may feel that he in good conscience can; another may conclude that he cannot.
I was very close with the elder on our body that traveled to Bethel and oversaw the Bloodless group in our state.
He told me point blank that the elder running the program for the PLANET knew it was BS and I quote "he desperately told me he wants out of the business"
They KNOW people........
