how do i make a long story short?

i am fully aware that if anyone in my area were to read this that they will know who i am.

i was disfellowshipped on january 28th 2010 after an "interview" about an evening of bowling with friends and family back in november 2009. i was among 4 who were disfellowshipped and 6 who were publicly reproved.

I am not even sure if I want this for my kids anymore. Heaven forbid that they do anything that would require an elder's meeting. I would not allow it to happen. I know that for a fact. My kids will NEVER face this kind of unmerciful treatment

I'm so glad you feel this way. I was DF'd. sat for nearly a year in the back of the KH. My kids didn't have any friends at the KH because of my DFing. That was when I said enough is enough. They were NOT going to make my kids feel the way I was feelling. My children are now 26 and 30. They barely remember going to the KH. My parents decided to shun me, and have for the past 20+ years.

I kept waiting for the really juicey stuff. I mean come on, a hot tub, lots of drinking, I thought fur sure a 'lil sumtin' a nasty happened. (elders thought that too, that's why they asked if that was all of the pictures on your facebook page.)

Fried, poached, scrambled?

it's about 3:30 a.m., my usual hour up and writing.

eggs and onions are on the range, even as we speak.. i'm thinking of one of my favorite actresses, margaret rutherford, and her husband, stringer davis, who had the custom of a midnight repast of bacon and eggs.. do you down cackleberries with relish?

Do You Think It's Improper To Make Fun Of The Name "Jehovah"?

some people say "hovah' "jehoovah", etc.

or they'll say instead of jehovah's witnesses, "hovies"....etc.. do you think that it's appropriate?.

I don't necessary see it as improper, as much as I see it as rude. I don't make fun of the name Jehovah to anyone. But I have said to my husband, lets get coffee somewhere else..... Tim Horton's is full of "jehovah's". Knowing that is not what they are called..... I would not say that to anyone else.

My daughter texted me the other day to say: "If you take Innsisfallen Rd, what out for the jehovah cones"

There is a KH on that road, and on meeting nights they block off one lane of a four lane street for extra parking. One KH went out of business..(or whatever you call it)..so they merged the two. So they don't have enough parking in their parking lot now. I don't know how they can legally put orange cones out and block one lane at least twice weekly for several hours.

anyway, I laughed at her text and knew exactly what she was talking about.

in my case it was my best freind in the cong who decided to encourage me to answer up at the wt by... refusing to talk to me afterwards if i hadn't answered up!

Got a visit from door-to-door JW's!

today while i was home for a quick lunch break i got a knock at the door.

i opened the door and was surprised to see two elderly jehovah's witnesses women.

i haven't been called on since i've been out for four years, so this was a bit of surprise.

All the dubs do now are what my non-JW brother calls "Guerrilla Calls".... drop a 'Tower or a tract....and run.

What's up with that anyway? Our last few visits were magazines or tracts falling on to the floor as I open the front door. And we would be here the entire time. Door bell works, the dog goes nuts when the screen door opens, but they are so quiet no one knew they were here. Weird
