Do you atheists resent the believers on here and do you believers resent the atheists?

i'm wondering how people feel about us exjws either becoming atheists or continuing on with a faith in god?.

do you get angry or frustrated at the opposing view?.

i'm new but i've seen different reactions to both on here...as for me i am happy to live and let live nowadays...its ok with me whatever people want to choose for themselves..... personally i still have enormous faith and love for god....if the jws couldnt destroy it i dont think much else could...?.

I have never resented atheist's and they have never really bothered me but I can say they have at times frustrated me. I remember back in the days when I would meet one at the door and we would respectfully go back in forth with our reason's for believing and not believing, I just couldn't understand why they didn't see what I seen, it was frustrating in that way. I am sure though, that the feeling was mutual But I am good with it, I don't hate or discriminate, as was said on this thread over and over again, TO EACH IT'S OWN! or something like that!

Best Use for Jehovah's Word

i was wondering what the best use people ever had for "jehovah's word".

for me, "jehovah's word" aided me tremendously in my gardening efforts.

i had to borrow some books from my mom to get the full use of all this spiritual information but my new strawberry plants will enjoy all this material.

Well, using the bible in that way is not for everyone, personally I would not treat it like it was treated in your picture, but that's me. I'd say the best use for Jehovah's word is in daily living. What better advice can one get then from the Creator of all things?

My Memorial Tonight

i sat in the car with some trepidation and minor nerves and walked the 200 yards to the k/h on this damp dreary night.

i was a bit early and was greeted pleasantly by a hall attendant who shook my hand an asked my name, as i walked inside to my surprise i recognized 3 of the brethren, one was a guy who was a reasonably good pal who dated a friend of mine all those years back, he exchanged glances and he blanked me, the others were a middle aged couple who were sat a few rows in front of me but no eye contact was made, i proceeded to sit down and another 2 sisters greeted me, so in the space of about 10 mins a grand total of 4 people have made the big effort to say hi.

the opening song commenced and the sister next to me kindly offered me her songbook.

My experience was pretty good. It was the usual service but overall felt good about it. It doesn't hurt to be reminded of what Jesus did for us in my opinion.

What's your plans on the JW Memorial night?

for the last 13 years, we haven't attended and didn't even care about it.

but since we became card carrying members of jwn in september, we have an interest in what are friends here on jwn are doing.. for us?

we will be watching 'dancing with the stars'.

No Dnephew is no relation to me. I will be attending the memorial tonight but refuse to shave my neatly trimmed beard. Let's see how it goes

JW sister told my newly widowed mom that it would "look bad"if

if i took her to the memorial this year.im df'd for years,but out of love and respect for my parents i always gave them this one night.my mum dosent drive.i was going to drive her and sit by her.i promised my dad that i would always do this for him.he was pretty cool,even tho he was an elder.my "devout" sister {who has never lifted a finger to help my parents}told her yesterday that it "wouldnt look good" for me to show up w/my mum,altho everyone knows that i have done everything for my parents,both before my dad died in december and since.

is my sister just jealous that i have a fabulous life,am beautiful,rich,a guitar god,have excellent cool hair, xray vision,can communicate with aliens and have supernatural abilities?

or is she just mean?lol..btw,i am going.and im taking my mum and we are going to sit in the front row,and yes,im gonna wear velvet.....

Now I know she was being serious but the way she put it made me smile and chuckle. You have a good attitude. That is my problem, I can't stand people like that, however, there are people like that EVERYWHERE and in all walks of life and I suppose we just have to deal with it the best way we know how.
