You can put links on your own site that will go to the official JW site.

Adding links to the JW site that navigate somewhere else can only be done by the owners of the site and hackers.

If the JW site displayed adverts, their control over what ads get displayed is limited, so there's probably a way to sneak your own ads in there, but wouldn't you know it, no ads on the site.

I want to use my knowledge of science and religion to reach out to JWs and help them escape. But as we all know, it's very difficult to make them listen. They don't come to the door very often so I wondered about any online methods.

One idea I had was to friend some on facebook and use this to show them things that might make them think.

Bearing in mind my audience here (you're all ex/fading/conscious class right? I was never a JW but have a family member involved), please could you give me some tips, facebook or otherwise.

let's say there is a new law.. once each year the leader(s) of any religious group have to answer 20 questions in public on tv posed by their critics.. twenty questions are allowed for a one hour presentation.. of course, we would expect softball answers.

except for one thing: the questioner can press a "bullshit" button!.

that would mean the question is repeated and another answer was called for.

What is their official line on this? I was told by a JW this isn't a problem for them, as they don't claim god created all life at the same time.

Through my life experiences, discussions with JWs and hefty research, I am *absolutely* convinced they are wrong. I am more convinced of this than I am of the fact of evolution (I hold this position with 99% confidence). My motive is to help people escape from this destructive organisation. I would be very interested in any feedback about the above quote-mining, along with a summary of your position on the JW worldview.

just had a couple of jdubs at the door.

woman in 60's and guy looking mid-30s.. chatted for awhile but didn't let it get too deep cos i know it's pointless.

got the usual, expected, uneducated comments.. i made my sceptical, scientific views clear.. exchange email addresses with the woman (guy didn't have one) and emailed her an invitation to continue the discussion by email.. what do you think my chances of a reply are?.

Is worship deserved?

anyone know the jw explanation for this:.

so supposedly, god exists outside of space and time.

or, god wasn't created and didn't create itself, it just always was, or something.... ignoring any logical issues for a moment, if this is true, why does it deserve any worship for this?.

Also, why would it *want* any worship, unless it was a tyrannical boss with a huge ego?

i'll probably never do it but i was dabbling with the idea of faking an interest in this organisation, getting "recruited", attending all the meetings and pretending to be into it, all while wearing a hidden camera and mic.

maybe i could make a documentary using the footage.. any thoughts?
