just wanted to write a tribute to my best friend whom i lost last week, it was one of the most painful experiences i have ever been through.
i have no children, my puppy was my child.
i got him from a golden retriever rescue organization when he was 2. he was recovering from a car accident, still a bit skiddish, but he chose me to take him home (the foster mom said that he never responded to anyone like he did me).. he was always happy to see me, greet me with a toy in his mouth, he never judged me, never cared whether i was "bad association", he was always there when i needed to smile and remembe that i was not alone in the world.
Sorry for your loss. Dogs are awesome.
i had a dream last night i don't think i'll ever forget.. .
you see, my brother passed away a few months ago from an asthma attack at the age of 36. i've been learning to accept it and trying to move on, but last night a dream re-opened the wound a bit in a good way.
i dreamt that he was still alive but he knew and we all knew he was about to die...as if it was a terminal illness he had instead.
I experience such dreams whenever I lose someone close as well. They tend to diminsh with time but will pop up in times of stress. I am about 50/50 on this subject. Whether, I am meeting up with loved one on the astral plane or my monkey brain is just releasing emotion, this is a gift from God.

I personally would allow them to go only on Sunday. No FS, mid week meetings, etc. As they grow older that gives you a card to play when they want to go to dances, be in plays, try out for football, go to college. Absolutely no consideration of baptism till they are 18. All that normal stuff that makes a person a well adjusted member of society.
This is a poker game and you can't count on her changing, you married a JW chick bro. You better get your game face on for your kids. They will either thank you when they graduate college and have their own family or they will shun you when they are a 40 yearold single, pioneer/window washer. It's your choice.
