I deal with victims of "Spiritual Abuse" all the time. I have even had the pleasure of helping a few X-Jw's. It's really cool to find a group of people that really support and love eachother with out requiring blind conformity. Thanks for posting this.

I've noticed a peculiar human trait lately....
by Terry inat the bookstore where i work free coffee has been provided for at least 6 years now.. the customers (and non-customers who just come in and mooch) go through a dozen or so pots a day!.
our store manager decided we could ill afford to provide both caffeine free and regular coffee because of 2 reasons.. 1.we are always running out of regular and not that many people drink caffeine free.. 2.when we do run out of regular the customers get really pissed off and hunt employees down to complain!.
i began noticing how easily a gift or a courtesy extended to a person suddenly becomes viewed as a right!.

well 2 years later, i'm a big boy, turned 18 and moved out.

My story is very similar to yours. You have a huge void to fill. It's like making a choice between junk food and real food. Do you want real love or that phony KH shit? You can have real love from God, friends and yourself. Possibly even your parents if you are willing to put in the hard work and build a real life and not just conform to what some crackpot came up with in Brooklyn.
The only warning I will give is against being overly judgemental and naive. As someone raised in and that left home and the KH the day I turned 18 I wasted a lot of time in my 20's oscillating between being a dumbass or a prick. The KH teaches you nothing about forgiveness, grace or real love. Read books on these subjects and keep an open mind. You will find your own answers.
In the end my parents accepted me more and more and every year and we grew closer as I forgave them and opened up more to them.
You are in the real world now, no one is or expects you to be perfect in order to be loved.

I just learned tonight that my df'd friend got arrested with No bond on Friday for......
by asilentone inviolating the restraining order his ex wife placed on him.
i am not sure if it is from his first(jw) or second (non jw) ex wife.
how long will it take him to get out of jail?, so i can talk to him again.

Aggravated and the fact there was already a restraining order means there have been repeated threats and he isn't stopping. She needs to buy a big gun and your friend needs to get some serious help. He ain't going nowhere soon which might be the best thing for his saftey.

He ain't going no where till he see's a judge again. Not sure what they do in that case but I am sure he is going to be cooling his heels for a while.

Well I got a couple of questions,
1.Has your work been up to par?
2. Have you been on the internet too much?
I mean these are legitmate complaints from a boss. Actually in my neck of the woods these are called "orders".
Anyhow if your boss is chosing to address issues and it makes you so mad you take it out on people at home you need to look at how you deal with criticism. I have had one or two bully bosses but those were very low paying jobs were I was probably stoned all day at work to be honest.

I smoke weed on the weekends when it is around... Love a good joint. Told a relative if they let me smoke weed I'll come back.
