The Serpent was CURSED and many believe the Snake had legs at the Garden of Eden.... and part of the Curse was to crawl on it's belly.

Theres no answer to this becuase god didnt curse the serpent it is probably just an ancient explanation for why some lizards or reptile like things evolved into snakes and I dont know a whole lot about evolution so dont everyone jump on me at once if thats not possible.going from legs to belly on the earth is not necessarily a downgrade I think snakes have been doing pretty well for themselves for thousands of years. pft some curse
