I just found out my best friend died this morning. I'm not looking for sympathy, I just need some input. We were very close and worked together volunteering for the AIDS foundation here in my hometown. We would help people with house cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, whatever was needed. We were even roommates for a couple of years before I met my partner. We had drifted apart slowly over the past couple of years, you know phone calls on birthdays and holidays, that kinda thing. He never told me he was sick, and I'm kinda pissed at him for that. Anyway we both started volunteering for the AIDS foundation after a close mutual friend of ours died from it. We made a pact years ago that if either of us were ever to die the other would not attend the funeral. The reason we did this is because at that time we had buried 26 mutual friends in 6 years, and I live in a semi small town in Ohio folks, that's scary. We made a pact at that point that we would never attend another funeral, even each others. It was kinda like we were the survivors in our circle of friends. And for the few of you about to make snide comments I want you to know that not all of those 26 friends who died of AIDS were gay. One of them was my high school girlfriend who was a JW and who caught it from her Elder husband who liked to visit hookers and who BTW was DF'd, divorced her and then was reinstated 6 months later, and the bastard is still alive to this day. Anyway my dilema is this, I made a promise to a friend that I'm not sure I can keep. I promised him I wouldn't go but my heart is breaking at the thought of him being put in the ground without me being by his side.
I really don't know what to do. All I know is that I'm so tired of having to bury my friends. Sorry to unload but I'd really appreciate any input.
Peace and love to you and yours,
Jon
PS Simon bless you for banning Friday from the board. I couldn't take his shit right now.

Please help me with the forum
by Simon inkeeping a balance in what is allowed and what is not is very difficult and is more difficult if i have to take action against one person when i have let other things go by others.. it would help a lot if we could stop the personal attacks and some of the name calling & insults that are thrown about.
i know personalities do and will clash but please disagree about the subjects being discussed and not get personal!.
if you think someone is deliberately trying to cause arguments please do not respond to them as this is giving in to what they want.

Simon,
It's your board to do with as you please. That said, here's my .02.Most of us here are adults, and given our shared experiences we've gotten pretty good at recognizing BS when we smell it. At first I thought that's all Friday was about, BS. Then as alirobbi pointed out in an above post, Friday thinly veiled his support of doing bodily harm to gay people who have the audacity to move into his neighborhood. I've lived with this crap my entire life Simon so I must tell you, words don't bother me. But, when someone supports and condones the committing of a crime, that's where I draw the line.
Mabey Friday doesn't realize it, but by virtue of his comments he has broken the law by encouraging a hate crime. He has also broken the law by not informing the proper authortities of his knowledge of the details of said crime. So that makes him the felon Simon, not you.
You therefore had every right as owner of this board to delete his account so as not to implicate other members of this board in his felonious endeavors. And since I know he's lurking...((Hi Friday baby...me love you long time!!))...mabey after realizing that he's broken the law he'll do the polite and Christian thing and email you the apology you so richly deserve. Fat chance of that, huh.Peace and love to you and yours,

Riz my dear,
I'd be happy to bring the posuum, but I'll have to see if Larc will come over and catch it for me. That's a little too intense for little old me! He and Prisca have this thing about roasting marsupials! BTW you never answered my question on the Prisca thread. How did you ever get Dave to donate the secret ingredient for your fabulous stuffing. Enquiring minds want to know!!! ((Mmmm...warm and fuzzy thought of a certain someone covered in lime jello...))Thanks for your kind words!! This board made my entire weekend. After finding out Friday that my job was going away I had planned on a weekend of drunken self pity. But you guys all snapped me out of it real quick. I can't thank you all enough!!
Peace and love to you and yours,

Riz,
Ok here is the story. A couple of weeks ago a JW and her son (I'm assuming it was her son) showed up at my front door. I politely (yeah right!) told her that I was not interested and she stuck her size 12 hoof in the door jam and wouldn't let me close the door. She then proceeded to tell me that I was gonna lose out on eternal life if I didn't listen to what she had to say. Well needless to say my reaction to that was less than pretty. I will admit I was ashamed for some of the things that came out of my mouth (and I do mean only some). Anyway, that's the story.
BTW I found a possum family living in my back yard. Let me know if you want one for the main entree with your next batch of nut stuffing.
(Apologizing in advance for the last post I made on the Prisca thread, some things just sound funnier in my head than they do in writing)
Peace and love,

Ok folks. Now I'm sitting here picturing a "horny" Tina in a t-shirt and Andi answering the door naked. What is wrong with this picture!!! Is this one of those secret JW boards that use subliminal messaging to turn gay people straight? Oh thank god, I just got a mental picture of Dave covered in lime jello. Whew that was too close for comfort. I thought I was losing it!!!
BTW Friendorfoe the last JW that came to my door just about got their foot broken. But that's another story.
Peace and love to all,

Pregnant JW murdered, child cut out from belly
by bboyneko ini was reading about this in the mirror-universe db greatcrowd.com (there is a mirror universe bboyneko there complete with goatee and a mirror universe fredhall who is an intelligent dog and a mirror univrse dunscott who is dumb as a doornail, e.g: concering duuuuuuuuuh).
apparantly a pregnant jw lady had met another pregnant woman from her same neighborhood and they chatted a bit, later the jw family put up a car for sale and the pregnant neighbor came down to check it out.
then she got the jw to her house and killed her, and cut out her baby.

bboy,
You so crazy!!! PS you forget to tell me to shave off my real goatee before I glued on this one. Getting that thing off hurt like hell!Mommie,
It doesn't suprise me one bit that the guy remarried after 7 months. My father got engaged 8 months after my mother passed. He met his new wife thru the JW grapevine. My stepmothers first husband who was an elder, left her to run off with her best friend who was a pioneer sister in their congo. It was so scandalous her JW family couldn't wait to get her married off and shipped out of state. You know that kinda thing tends to cast a bad light in the community and all. Seems to me as if JW men just can't cut in on their own for very long. Either that or they just can't do without sex. Bastards!Peace,

were you more afraid of the elders or their wives?
by jonjonsimons injust wondering,.

Jayhawk,
Actually I have been mulling over a road trip to some of the places I spent time at when I was younger. Since my stepmother's family was based in KS I visited there often and really enjoyed the area. I'll keep you posted.
BTW I don't feel bad about the JW's not liking me. It's been 20 years and I've gotten use to it.
Peace and love,

Jayhawk,
I haven't been in that neck of the woods in years, but I'll keep the invite in mind. Everyone I know in that area are JW's and let's just say I'm not the most liked person in that circle. It's really too bad because I really liked most of them.Billygoat,
Duh, I meant Pittsburg KS, not MO. It's down near Joplin.Peace,
