I haven't been to a bank in so long...what the hell is a "bank drive through?" Direct deposit rules! But to answer your question, yep, I would buzz the person working the lane and let them suck the money back through the tube.

If you found a wallet with alot of money in it, would you keep it? (I wouldnt, cuz I know how much I would appreciate it if someone returned mine)

Hell no. This is one of those things where I would want someone else to do the same for me as I would do for them. Just last summer I noticed some kids riding on bikes down our street and they stopped right in front of our house. As soon as they stopped, I noticed something laying in the street. They picked it(a wallet) up and took out the cash that was in it. They then just dropped it back on the ground in the middle of the street where they found it. I went out and checked to see if there was any ID inside. The owner of the wallet just happened to live about 15 houses down from me so I walked it down and he was really surprised that I had it in my hands. He thought that he must have left it on his truck somewhere but was pretty happy that everything was still intact minus whatever cash that was in it.

How about just a plain envelope, or bag of money with no name? Would you turn it into the police?

Hmm, this one is a little more tricky. It would depend on where I found it. You know you cannot just go and advertise you found some cash and will the owner come and pick it up. No less than a hundred people will come knocking. The police? I don't know. If I saw a dealer running and he happened to drop his bank roll, you can be damn sure his roll is now mine.

It would all depend on what the offense was. Certain people have strengths over others. It's not something I could just pick three people and go with it.

i have been googling all morning trying to find out if they work without the battery.. the reason?

Does your boyfriend have a voltmeter? It could be that your AC/DC adapter (plug in cord) is faulty. If it is faulty, your battery isn't being charged. If your battery is not being charged, the laptop is barely able to draw enough current to turn on for a sec and then shutoff. Try looking up an electronics shop in town(hell, even an autozone!) to see if they can verify that your charge adapter is working if you do not have access to a voltmeter. it's really easy to check.

i was just reading a news article and this jumped out at me for some reason(this isn't a political thread!):.

another traveler, khadija tawfek mouhsin, said his brother was killed last year en route to karbala, but that he was determined to make the journey.

"the terrorists give us the chance to go to paradise," the 39-year-old shiite pilgrim said.. my mind went to work on the word "paradise" and what we(exjw's) used to picture paradise as being.

I thought they used to teach that the resurected would be given a short time to convert and if they didn't, Jehovah would kill them.

A thousand years is but a day in jehover's eyes. So yes, it would be a short period of time if you look at it that way.

If you think about it, the WTS's version of paradise is fully open to interpretation. Let's say you are resurrected under WTS rule on earth. How are they going to make you live by their rules? Are there going to be WT prisons for those who rebel? Are they simply hoping that by being resurrected that you will automatically succumb to God's way of things and live a fruitful life under their direction? What I'd like to know is what will happen to the people who are brought back, but after living on earth for a year, decide they want to go out on their own without any help from the WTS? Will they be free to live their lives as they see fit for a thousand years until "Satan is let loose?" I can see a whole lotta murders and crime still occurring during this time of "peace." Nope. Their version does not make any sense to me.

Of course, this is still all a what if scenario.

My mind went to work on the word "paradise" and what we(exjw's) used to picture paradise as being. I asked myself, "What if you died and woke up in a paradise setting with your parents and elders you used to know standing over you smiling? What if they then told you that the JW's were right, you were wrong, and now you get to live under the direction of the WTS for at least the next 1,000 years?" If I were still a jw, that thought probably wouldn't phase me in the least. But now, oh my god, I actually cringed imagining that scenario. I answered to myself --- "I would kill myself rather than live under WT rule once again, especially if it was for at least a 1,000 years." There was no hesitation in my answer. Rather than be there with my old jw buddies and relatives, I would rather die. There's just something about being under WT rule that makes me want to scream.

Would you be happy to be resurrected in this scenario, or would you say F-it, kill me?

I recall reading an article that said this discovery actually questions everything we know about evolutionary changes of the earth. Something about the tectonic plates and how they shift and this opening in the earth sort of blows that explanation away. I'm no expert in geological shifts, but I thought it was interesting.

I could care less about the amount of posts I have. Hell, I've been here since the beginning(I think my registration date was a day later than Simon's). My post average tells a lot about me. 1.09 posts per day. I read more than I write. I'll go through phases at times. Some days it's fluff(not often), political(greater frequency over the last year), religious(mixed in here and there), and whatever piques my interest. I do have other things to do in my life like work and volleyball.

I've been pretty lucky to meet many people from this board. I hope I get to meet quite a few more in a few months.

Oh, and I just noticed that her article made it on page A13. That is the major news section. Not some obscure Religious or Entertainment section where only a handful of people might read through it. People who buy a newspaper generally buy it to read through the entire A section and then other parts that interest them. This should help create a few waves in the local congregations.
