having been here for a few years, and corresponding privately with some of you i have noticed a lot of us have names that are from the bible.. so without giving too much away about yourselves :.
did your parents give you a name based on a bible character?.
did they do this while they were jws?.
OH GAWD!
good question.
Hubby & I were such true believers that, yes, we did name our kids after "bible names/characters". Sheeeesh.
We wanted to be unique ( we know our kids are ) but every time I tell people my kids names now I cringe. Oh well. They are welcome to change their names.........but a rose by another other name.....oh forget it.

a relative has been admitted to the hospital due to their blood count going from 7-4. the first hospital wanted to transfuse but a transfer was arranged to another who works with the society's hospital committee.
they have instructed which doctor to request and the elders are standing guard.
i'd like to find out how low can blood levels go and are there any other treatments outside of transfusion.
Benext,
the relative is getting InFeron. Iron shots. Slow process to build up red blood cells but do-able.
Please do not take it personally the way your relative will be treating you or other JW's that will be watching to be sure your relative's "integrity to Jehovah" is not compromised. They are under such mind control.
You may drop a suggestion to your relative or the physician about Erythropoeitin. (whatever brand name is used where you are at)
Sounds like you are showing true love for your relative.
imagine if all major retailers started making their own brand of condoms, but kept the same marketing slogans...?.
sainsbury condoms - making life taste better.. .
tesco condoms - every little helps.. .
ROTFLMAO, you guys have way too much time on your hands.
But it does give me some good ideas for posters at the clinic!!
im not sure if anyone remembers me, but i used to post her until january of 2003. the last time i wrote here i mentioned that i was leaving las vegas and movie back to houston.

Hey ((Gilwarrior))
"So far my life is good. I hope it get better and if it doesn?t hope to cope with whatever problems come my way."
Great attitude! Wow, you have really done some major life changes! Very good. It is great to hear how people have taken control of their lifes and do what is best for them. Of course it is never easy, but you are making the effort and it will pay off in the long run.
Keep up the good work and let us know when you get your degree and decide to go to be a CPA!!!
lol, and we can say we knew you when.

saturday my son is going to go to a 6 hour driving course to get his d/l.
i have been letting him practice driving and he is doing very well.
i am glad he is going to thru the course , i am sure they will highlight alot of things he needs to know.
They grow up way too fast.
And you thought the New System would be here before he grew up!
At least now he can have a real life and you can enjoy watching him do that, too.
Hugs,
Joy

hmm.... where to begin?
i should first state that i'm someone who has nothing to hide, although i'm not prooud of some of the things i've done in my life, they were nonetheless experiences to be learned from, and i have spent much energy in trying to do so.
this may turn out to be a rather lengthy posting and even still, there are many things that i will innevitably not include.. i was born in victoria, bc in 1982, the majority of my childhood is not available to me so i have to live mostly on information from my family to fill in the gaps, but we moved around a lot after that up until i was 5, when my parents divorced.
WOW
welcome to the board dustin_adam.
You have been through alot and seem wise beyond your years. Thanks for sharing your journey so far. It should only get better now that you are an adult and realize you control your destiny.
