  i loved it!

  i would be laughing my ass off one minute and crying the next, then tapping my feet to the beat of his music the next.. ray didn't hold any of the truth back, even his bad points were there for all to see.

  and as for jaime foxx, he definately deserves an oscar.

  I was amazed at how my emotions were caught up in the film.
  

  I sat through the credits just to get my eyes dry before I walked into the bright lights of the lobby.

  I want to go see that film again or get it when it comes out in DVD.

  Hey WH, I know I'm a little slow on the uptake, but didn't Ray & his wife have 3 boys??? Who had the other nine children? They only showed the one mistress. I thought his wife and him had 6 kids together and he and his mistress had 6 kids, but apparently, it was more than just one mistress.

  Just got back from seeing Ray. Man, was it great. I saw Ray in person in the early 70's in St. Louis and it looked like the same hall he played in in the movie.

  Great trip down memory lane.

  I agree, Jamie Fox did a GREAT job of playing Ray.

  love it when someone is trying to say something and the tongue chooses to rearrange the wording.

  i think my favorite was one sunday a particular ms who had a thing for perfectionism was announcing the song to be sung "jehovah's happy people".

  it came out "jehovah's happy peepee".

  My brother said that in his prayer in the early 70's. There was a group of us camping and swimming at Johnson Shut-Ins in MO, where there are all kinds of rapids and waterfalls and he said that during the lunch prayer. Yes, he was at bethel later and told people of his slip. Too funny.

  Smurfs = little blue devils, according to the hispanic brother in our congo. He even shared with us the story of a smurf jumping up and running out of the KH!!! (He was so intelligent striving to be an elder.) My kids loved watching the smurf cartoon and it was hard for me to tell them no. lol

  Cabbage Patch Dolls, I made them for my kids. I didn't hear of any problems with them. Oh well, must have been the continent you lived on.

  you are invited to attend a conference of former jws october 21-24 at 1835 n. western in wenatchee wa 98801. this is an annual event organized by richard rawe and his associates.

  richard is the exjw who's story was portrayed in the "good faith" off broadway play.

  if you are like me the word conference conjures feeling associated the word convention.

  i cheated on my wife and i told her what happend and she forgave me......but she told my sister #1(baptized but doesn't go to meetings) what happend.

  then sister #1 proceeded to tell sister #2 (die hard witness).

  now sis #2 is giving me till wed to turn myself in or she is going to do it.

  I wanted to open the dialogue so maybe everyone would end up empowered or gaining more from their own experience here.

  excellent point.

  Anytime we put up barriers, labels, etc. we limit our mental capacity to emphathize with fellow human beings.
