  welcome to the board, _atlas.

  the only thing "in" the WTBTs is family and people. These individuals are under mind-control. So why would anyone want to lose their freedom to think?

  The "hook" or dangling carrot of the WTBTs is the paradise. If you keep your eyes "on the prize" you don't really look at the teachings/doctrines/actions of the WTBTs. You try to make whatever it says fit into your reality of life so that you can attain that prize.

  At least you are starting to think and question on your own. It is scary at first, but you'll eventually deprogram enough to see it is all a house of cards, filled with smoke and mirrors. Thus there really isn't anything to go back to. It is all lies.

  1. married to a guy who's not really that great (history of having lotsa women, irresponsible) but seems to love/like your daughter.

  2. be gay (with woman who is quite good, responsible and everything but - a woman...).

  You are a bright gal, I remember , so please go get some counseling like I said. It must be hard to not be a "good jw gal" and now having feelings that you feel is against society. Well, those feelings are your feelings and you have every right to them. Please get help to see that you are a worthy person, NO MATTER WHAT. If something bothers someone else, that is their problem.

  It takes people a long, long time to ever get to that point in their life. If helps to get help, to reach that point sooner. Please go get help.

  Please be true to yourself, whatever that maybe. Sometimes, its not what the parent thinks that guide our lives but what we ourselves think/condemn.

  Now, about this "dead" thing. Please go see a counselor immediately.

  This situation is not to be taken lightly. You need to discuss your feelings.

  Oh to be six again...
  The husband asked his wife what she'd like for her birthday.
  "I'd love to be six again," she replied.
  
  On the morning of her birthday, he woke up early, got up, made her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms and then
  took her off to Disneyland. What a day!
  They went on every ride in the park. The Matterhorn, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean,
  and the Haunted Mansion. Five hours later she staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down.
  
  They drove to a McDonald's where her loving husband ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a refreshing chocolate
  shake. Then it was off to a movie to see the latest blockbuster, a hot-dog, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite candy, M&M's. What a fabulous adventure!
  
  Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed, exhausted. He leaned over ! his precious wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, "Well, dear, what was it like being six again?"

  
  Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed.
  "Is that what this crazy day was all about?
  You idiot, I meant my dress size!"

  My Son is Going Back to Iraq for his Second Tour

  he leaves on the 29th of january and will be gone for 15 months.

  i am so scared that if i think about it for too long, i have panic attacks that leave me breathless and immobilize me.

  Yes, your comment was shitty and very uncalled for. Please deleate your posting. It is mean and hurtful to a woman who is grieving over a situation that she or her son did not ask for. (being sent back to war and not having the option to not go)

  Bicycles.....need advice.

  okay, i got a bike a couple days ago to ride to work.

  problem is, work is 6 miles away.

  wouldnt be a problem normally..but im living in a very very windy city.

  lean way far forward over your handle bars. tuck your elbows in. Get a cool areodynamic helmet like Lance Armstrong in the time trials and see if that won't cut down on the wind resistent.

  I'm assuming you have enough gears and can power through them

  ps and cut out smoking. eventually it won't be so much of strugle.
