Move on to what? I really do feel that a worldwide group of people should stand up and be an example for all. I have the drive but no direction.

ring of truth
by sayitsnotso inmany argue that the truth will always be the truth because of core beliefs: no hellfire, no trinity, no immortal soul, adam and eve lost paradise (and thus paradise on earth will be restored and the need for the ransom), the issue of universal soverignty, last days, loving brotherhood, using god's name.. most people are attracted to the truth becuase of at least one or more of these beliefs and refer to these often as the 'ring of truth'.
this makes it very easy to then shrug of any of the past mistakes or any current teaching that is hard to understand or believe.
i myself am struggling with this.

I am going through the same thing. I grew up a JW and because of it I struggle with huge mental problems today. But the actuall people I grew up with were great. I also agree with many of the teachings. So my problem now is do I move on? Or do I start a movement to take over the WS?
I feel that it is my religion. I wont let them get in the way and make me stumble. But it seems like when others leave and try to start a new religion they all fail. I have looked at many of the worlds religions and if I had to pick it would be the WS. So would it be better to orgsnize a march against them or something? I am worried sick over this.

I do agree that all the "stuff" the GB focuses on gets in the way of Jesus' message. Maby they have A.D.D.?

Finish the job the Jehovah's Witnesses started on you!
by Terry inwhat jehovah's witnesses get right is that the basis for christianity rests on scripture and the bible itself.. but, they only go just so far.
they stop at making you suspicious of bad things which have crept in to the bible through centuries of corruption.. the jw's unpack and deconstruct christianity j-u-s-t e-n-o-u-g-h for you to see the rats and spiders and cockroaches.
they quickly squeeze it all back together again repackaged.

Just a thought for you.
The universe is a constant spiral pattern that weaves in and out of itself. Through the seemingly randomness of things patterns can be found. These patterns reflect things we have always known in our sunconsious. When we are self aware and honest with ourselves we can recognize the rythym of things.
I see the pattern and it says logic alone is the basis for evil. It has to be pared with love. Love alone is too messy and fizzles out without logic.
The bible in my opinion was written by God because with all its contradictions and confusing ideas, if you look at the message it is one of pure logic brought forth by love. There is a book bound by space and time that we can all access if we let go of the physical and reach out to the spiritual.
As far as pre-creation floating around by itself... Have you ever tried medatation to the point where you can float around not having to as-is things? nothing has to be. The perfectness of nothing is not easy to grasp. Not saying you cant grasp it. Just saying I get the idea and Im only human. Try this excersize. Sit at the opposite side of the room and look at the doorknob. How much time could you tolerate between you and the door? Slowly walk to it and touch it. Now that you got that idea... How much time could you really tolerate between you and the door.
I have read a few of your posts. You are a brilliant man. But I dont see much connection with anything spirituall. Am I wrong? Please dont take this as an attack. You facinate me. I would like to know what made you who you are today.

I looked this up in older posts but I still dont get it. It seems to be referring to those resurected on earth because of its context with the Sadduccees. But It doesnt make for a paradise anyone would wat to live in. I dont doubt God I doubt our understanding. Because I wasnt there when Jesus said it I dont have the tone and inflection in his voice. Its hard to understand this. The older posts are long winded and I cant follow. In a simple way can anyone explain how this could play out without being a problem?
27 However, some of the Sadducees, those who say there is no resurrection, came up and questioned him, 28 saying: “Teacher, Moses wrote us, ‘If a man’s brother dies having a wife, but this one remained childless, his brother should take the wife and raise up offspring from her for his brother.’ 29 Accordingly there were seven brothers; and the first took a wife and died childless. 30 So the second, 31 and the third took her. Likewise even the seven: they did not leave children behind, but died off. 32 Lastly, the woman also died. 33 Consequently, in the resurrection, of which one of them does she become [the] wife? For the seven got her as wife.”
34 Jesus said to them: “The children of this system of things marry and are given in marriage, 35 but those who have been counted worthy of gaining that system of things and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. 36 In fact, neither can they die anymore, for they are like the angels, and they are God’s children by being children of the resurrection

The earth survive forever?
by sayitsnotso ini can understand many argue that scientifically it is impossible for the earth to remain forever (sun dies).
what is wrong with the argument that god could refuel the sun?.

The earth lasting forever might mean his people. Even if the sun were to last forever we still will need a new planet. Eventually we will overpopulate the earth if we don't die. My mom always told me god might take away our ability to have kids at that point. I think that would be horrible. We were made in gods image with the ability to creat and bring forth new life. So the only answer for me is...
If the whole world is working together and is perfect. They wont have money issues that get in the way of building a huge space ark. Big enough to grow food on. We cant do this now because of money issues. And bone mass loss. We cant survive in space now. But when our spirit is the thing keeping us alive and not the actuall food we eat this is a non issue. So guess aliens are real. Its us in the future! Im looking forward to vacationing on the resort on mars!
