when you look back over the 130 year history of wt, what is the most bizzare/ridiculous/hilarious/absurd teaching or quotes that you have found?.
one of the ones i find hilarious is during the beth-sarim affair, rutherford announced that the world was laughing and mocking them because they don't believe the resurrection is going to come to pass when they said it was.
rutherford went on to say in effect "we will show them when people start coming back from the graves"... lol.
Teel most of them still teach and say in FS that there were no rains before the flood. We showed an elder the w98 1/15 that says we don't know if there was rain before and he came back with AN OLDER WT (70s) quoting that there definitly were no rains before the flood. I'm afraid you cannot help those people.

unfortunately i realized this after we had a baby.

As you know I am in a similar situation. My husband still believes in the 607 WT explanations. I hope I’ll get CoC soon…I don’t give up. Please don’t. I just have the luck that I was the one "pushing" to go to the ministry (I think he hates it) or to have every meeting being prepared, daily scripture read so I think he will fade without seeing it (I hope). We did not prepare one single meeting since 2,5 weeks. That really a long time for me/us!!!!
But during and after the meeting of today my husband was upset about the argumentation against mother day he told me that it was a little bit farfetched and he doesn’t agree with it. On the way home, we also discussed about the lantern festival and I told him that our daughter could go next year as we didn’t find anything against it while doing some research last falling season. He agreed that she could go. But he still believes it’s the truth. Yesterday, he told me that if only 1% is wrong and the remaining 99% is ok, there is no better path. I didn’t protest. I just let it be. He will understand sooner or later…

i found it so interesting to see what information is held about you at the branch office, if you are or were an appointed man.. for instance.
name, address, date of birth, date of baptism, all dates where you have been an elder, ms etc, all the congs you have been appointed in.
s2 forms, letters of introduction scanned and available to read.

I've just seen that it will be on June 12th and not the 8th (it doesn't matter). It's a Saturday: the whole afternoon :-(
We just took the opportunity to spend 3 days in Vienna. It will be great for the kids and for us to make a little break in our stressful life. But I must confess that since I know the truth about "the truth" I stopped preparing the meetings or reading our daily brochure...I've more time for the most important things in my life: my children/family.
I'll tell you more about this "special meeting" in 1 month...
