  How Do People Like Sir 82 & Others Who Are Active JWs Do It ???

  i appreciate any who tell us what the latest co's talk is about or what was said at the meetings.

  i just don't know how you can do it.

  knowing that the "truth" is false and even laughable, it boggles my mind that you can still go, listen to the spiritual bullshit and maintain.. how do you do it?.

  Since I just started my fade, I'm not sure at what stage or how long each stage will take to get through. I am in the first stage very likely and setting up and executing the fade so I'm a little more active than I want to be atm. As in, I attend fairly consistently, of course, I've been a pretty visible person up until January so I'm still working the questions from the congo about where I've been, how come I'm not doing sound/literature/landscaping/etc anymore. So I'm having to slow it down step by step.

  I will say that I'm with Open Mind as far as compartmentalization. It's a necessary skill to be using in this situation.

  So basicly the org is going in a big circle? We are now back to old doctrine, hey maybe in a few years they'll allow celebrating xmas, bdays, and allow smoking again!

  How often did you get donations from the HH in the FS?

  because in my experiance it was once in a blue moon!

  even if we did ask/ suggest for money.

  most of the contributions put in the box were out of the jw's own pocket.

  Since the change to donations, I rarely asked for one and I have never put money in the donation box out of my own pocket. The very few times I got a donation from the HH I put that in.

  I think I can count on one hand the amount of times I have ever donated out of my own pocket to the WTBS. I know, I was a rebel.

  theme was something about "loyalty to jehovah's visible organization".. i have neither the time nor inclination to summarize the whole thing, but a few points stood out:.

  even if it causes you personal hardship.

  example: joshua & caleb returned from spy trip to promised land with good report, but were "outvoted" by the other 10 spies.

  If they come right out and say, "Be loyal to visible org. even if you know they are wrong" I'm done, no slow fade, just stand up and walk out the front door. If anyone of my "friends" or family still want to stay in and shun me for taking my stand against hypocrisy, so be it.

  Our CO visit is in 2 weeks. I'm starting the count down. Thanks for the heads-up post, this should be interesting.

  Is Jehovah Telling the Governing Body to Shut Down?

  is the governing body haunted by the thought that jehovah is telling them no and shut down?.

  rutherford is reported to have sought cash and rationed coal as a test of jehovah's will.

  knorr reported on getting an unexpected windfall of cash when they sought to buy the towers hotel.. but from where i sit, jehovah seems to have become very ungenerous towards these would-be theocrats, in recent years.. they dumped subscriptions.. they cut literature.. they went to paperbacks.. they cut magazines, by my count, for the third time.. they laid off bethelites.. they sold off brooklyn buildings.. they sold off printing/binding equipment.. so, now their latest 'litmus test' of jehovah's will is to simply dump the magazines in one lump and tell people to only take what they need.

  Oh I'm sure they'll turn it around to say, "See! We HAVE preached throughout the whole earth! Look at all the surplus magazines that no one wants anymore."

  Of course we see it as, yep, internet killed the watchtower star.

  No more ordering X amount of Watchtowers per publisher at the book room.

  i was listening in last night and heard a special letter being read.. the speaker was so excited reading it.

  it basically said that from now on they will leave a stack of watchtowers on the counter at the kh and each publisher should take what they need for the week and bring back the ones they didn't use.

  if they run out they should use their old copies they have at home.... effective immediately.. .

  I just got back from a meeting and the magazines are all stacked up on the counters... it hasn't been going down either and it's been back there for the last 2 weeks... all I see is... BONFIRE MATERIAL!

  Book of Enoch?

  i came across this a few weeks back while doing some online research http://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/boe/ (i hope that's how you post links) and i'm curious to know if any of you have done research into this book and what are your comments/thoughts on it?.

  i've read through the watchers and the adam and eve story, quite interesting opens up another angle of the whole "in the beginning".... how accurate is this book?

  why was it left out of the bible?

  Whoa... Leolaia's research is a real eye-opener. I think I just opened another can of worms that needs further investigation. Astonishing. The knowledge that is on this website has taught me far more in 6 months than what I've been drilled into my head from the organization all my life.

  specifically, his blood contains an extremely rare enzyme that can be used to treat babies dying of rhesus disease.

  if you've never heard of that disease and figure it's not a big deal, well, wait for the numbers.
