  we are spiritual beings so where does our spirit go?.

  The only reality I know is the reality I'm living now, the present. When I die and there is a "place" I go to, then I'll find that out then. For now, I'm only concerned about living the best life I can live because that is the only life I know I have. Whatever happens after death is pure speculation. Maybe we go to heaven? Maybe we go to Hell? Maybe we don't go anywhere.

  It's the journey of life that enthralls me, not the destination of death.

  i was watching the dc talk on the generation overlap (remain in the secret place most high) on you tube.

  watched and listened to approx 3 mins on this video clip and already wanting to shout and scream.

  but i also had this thought about the experiences they read out and how real they were or just another wts bs, for example in the bit i heard they gave an experience of a brother who is bipolar and his battle when in fds.

  Kingdom Hall Dreaming

  how many of you have had these dreams, where you find yourself at the hall or assembly?.

  i have found myself in both scenarios, almost 10 years since i set foot in either, but when i do have these dreams (not often) i do laugh out loud in my dream saying "what the hell am i doing here" and the freinds..... oh how are you, it's so good to see you back.

  and the venue is always dark.

  i've started my goatee this past weekend!

  came into work this morning and one guy i worked with looks at me and goes, "wtf is that?

  CSG - a tattoo is definitely on the radar for me, I've always wanted one and after seeing this one sister get 3 in one year and was still able to give talks on stage with no counsel, I say awesome, lets get one! lol

  i was looking through some crap on a shelf the other day and came across a bunch of these un-placed tracts from a campaign a few years ago.

  the urgency in the language is palpable and the doomsday lightning bolt on the front is scary.

  yet when i looked at the date of publication it was four years ago ( 2006 ) and there has to date been not one sign of religion ending, whether it's false or true.. they keep using words like "near" and "soon.

  I bet 99.9% of the stuff the WTS publishes nowadays is recycled from the past. The writing committee just goes in and changes the title slightly, updates a few dates, changes a few phrases to match the latest understanding etc.

  Catch words "near", "soon", "close", "evidently", "apparently", "generation" all have their own definition in WTS land. I wonder what kind of drugs those old coots are smokin in the tower?

  How often does a Wt song run through your head

  yesterday i was sitting here and all of a sudden realized i was humming one of those dreadful songs.

  i even remembered the words!

  <chills>.. so i sat here and started singing other songs out loud, which i normally don't do even though i live alone and don't have to listen to people begging me to stop singing.. so how do you get those songs out of your head?.

  Only time they run through my head is if I'm at the meeting and it's playing. Other than that, they never come across my brain. With the switch to the new song book this year its going to be even easier to not even know what the songs are too.

  I will add that the new song book is atrocious.

  in light of the wts's recent attempts to conceal it's talks from broader inspection and documentation, mp3s to the public are now mostly the works of the 'conscious class' and those exjws who force themselves to endure hours upon hours of control-laced presentations.

  kudos to all those who embody anonymous.

  A, uh, belated introduction

  quick bio: born-in, third gen jw, devout family, dad an elder/po, mom pioneered off/on, baptized at age 10 (my elder dad asked me to wait but i didnt), had overall good childhood, toured bethel, aux pio off/on, finished hs early, reg pio for a year then pio school, met amazing jw girl (also third gen devout), spent a year in community college (paid for by fairly conservative jw parents), got a good job, married amazing jw girl, appointed as ms, delivered public talks and parts on ca/dc, wife and i had first child.

  it was a near-storybook jw life (except no bethel).

  i had a couple of normal issues in teenage years, but sought the assistance from the elders and ironed it out.
