  i dont know if this thread is going to offend anyone...but whenever i was a kid, and i thought about 'jehovah distroying everything' i always used to think about that song 'rock the cabash' by the clash, (and later willeinum by will smith).

  or rem-its the end of the world as we know it?

  i dont know why those two songs go through my head whenever i think of the end of those world when i hear those songs lol..

  i was watching "friday" this weekend and had forgotten about the part in the beginning when the 2 jw ladies woke him up.

  as i see it, there are three looming threats that all have the potential - individually or combined - to bring the wbts to its knees, at least in the united states, anyway.. 1. youth retention.

  the young people aren't buying it.

  the watchtower will argue that faithless young people are giving in to demonic persuasion and leaving the truth.

  I've said it before and I'll say it again. There is something brewing in the org and there are going to be some huge changes coming in the next 4 years. There has been too much corroborating stories from several elders that the Branches and HQ are reorganizing and restructering. Same elders that said there is a serious shortage in brothers to take over the lead from the older ones and a lot of disheartened 'friends' worldwide.

  People are getting tired of living in 'high alert' for so long they are giving up or becoming nonchalant about their service. Right now, the only regions of the world increasing are regions where the countries are still developing and JWs are a new blip on the map with their carrot (everlasting life).

  There won't be a crash and burn, but there is going to be a change for the worse I predict, more rules, more regulations, more things one CAN'T do, it's a lockdown and a "sifting' work. That's what they'll tell people though.

  Yup, been getting a lot of calls lately too gutted. I just dont answer or call back. Thank goodness that I travel a lot for work, I can usually fly under the radar for weeks at a time without raising attention.

  Assembly talk admits that meetings are boring.

  i made a post yesterday about some of the stupidity that has been flowing from my most recent assembly program.

  one things i forgot to mention was this:.

  hd television, video games, cell phones, and other interactive electronics - all of these things are very highly stimulating to the eyes and ears and kids (and maybe some adults, too) get used to receiving this type of visual and auditory input.

  some would be experiences that people had going door to door and visiting a "witch" or "warlock".

  some would inadvertently go to a fortune tellers door and have a demonic experience.. i was always facinated by all the stories.

  oh, and BrotherDan, that reminds me...

  I had a stash of X-Men comics growing up. My mom freaked when she looked through them saying they were demonic and how could I let the demons into the house! She made me burn them all. When I was burning them since it was burning all that ink, the flames were blue/purple/yellow/red/all colors and it was taking a while to burn since it had to burn all of that fuel on the paper first, but to her, she was convinced it was the demons protecting the comics.

  Once I was talking to an elder about some doubts I was having, he stopped me in mid sentence and said, "Stop! Do not say what I think you're about to say, Satan can't read your mind, but once he hears you have doubts, you're his." WTF? Seriously? So I went home, called my mom, told her what I was thinking and haven't been attacked yet. Of course, maybe they leave me alone because I'm 'out' already in mind.... lol

  If they exist, I'd like to ask them to tell me the truth about what REALLY happened back in the day... you know, around when they rebelled. The truth coming from a demon is still the truth right?
