Elder lies about the custody packet:
i just posted a short video with the soundbyte from the talk in the thread on kingdom control.
here's the link.
i don't know if i can embed it properly:.
has bethel ever turned someone away for bethel service?
do you know of anybody personally?
i'm just wondering because i've never heard anybody turned down yet they act like it's some sort of special privilege..
I know most that applied haven't got in. (In my experience of knowing people that have applied).
truth is funny isn't it?
the religion that christ chose in 1919 because it had the truth, at that time had this to say................................. .
indeed, even if the transgressor refuse to hear (obey) the decision of the entire church, no punishment is to be inflicted or even attempted.
...and this is why they don't have publications (WTs) past 1950 and Awake from 1970. They don't want the 'truth' of older publications to incriminate them today.
Too late... the internet killed that hope for them!!
i have recently made contact on facebook with a witness family that i used to be very good friends with.
they now live in australia..she shared the name of one of their new songbook songs with me and commented that a lot of them sound like they are inspired by prince and michael jackson... if someone want to post it as a link feel free... song 171 "the song of victory".
brought a tear to my eye... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gubabuv2qq.
That new songbook is the pinnacle of their shitty writing. They sound like dying cats when sung. I can't recognize anything that it would sound like, other than... a bunch of dying cats...
it took me a little over 2 years from the time i quit going.
been out 15 years now and no wts literature since.. .
think about it .
I've got a few in boxes, but it's the OLD stuff. Like Paradise Lost and the Studies in the Scriptures old. I think it's only 2 boxes full though, no bound volumns or any of the new crap.
some nice people have made a site so we can keep track of when armagedon is due:.
http://wecantknow.com/.
(well, it would be terribly embarassing to miss it!).
Hmm.. I think our Armageddon Hasn't Come thread needs to have a link to that and then keep the thread alive past it as well... brb going to do that now. !!
do you keep items of clothing for sentimental reasons?.
i've got a few garments that i've been hanging onto for some reason.
even though i'm never going to wear them again (because of size, wear or condition), i can't bring myself to throw them away.. .
Nope, I toss everything I don't wear if I haven't worn it for a year. But I am single and very mobile i.e. travel a lot.
what im about to post is the exact words from the co during the last talk of the most recent special assembly day.
even though im out i still try to keep up with what is being said just cause i find it interesting, and alot of stuff i find funny, but this stuff is starting to get scary, and i fear for my friends who are still in.
here are the exact words:.
ROFL! Andre! Yeah, is that his REAL name?? WTS is great at fiction!
so this morning, i was out and about.. the wife tells me to bring home a couple of christmas stockings to hang, so that we can put our small goodies in them.
(we have some already, but they're in storage, and we don't feel like digging through several storage boxes just to find them.).
all the places have very little left, and people are madly buying up what is left.. .
LOL! Awesome! I think the best part was your wife laughing, you did what you were told and you made due with what you could find. Good for you sir!
Merry Christmas!
