My company would constanly rotate my work schedule from days, swings to midshift. I tried coffee to help me stay awake and it did. I love my morning starbucks. The best starbuus blend is the french, the breakfast and the house. If I cant get any of these,I ask for a americano. Add sweetner with half and half and you have an excellent drink.

My response to they don't go church....they go to the kingdom hall. Was an enquire of the orgin of the word kindom hall. It is not found in the scriptures but Church is. This is a repeat of my response/question. How does the JW organization explain Mathew 16:18. And I say to you: that you are Peter: and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Churches uses Luke 24:46-48 as our duty to be witnesses of Jesus and to proclaim his gospel worldwide.

JW's don't go church... they go to the Kingdom hall
by loosie indo you remember correcting everyone who would ask you where you go to church.
the jw reply was usually something like....we don't go to a church we go a kingdom hall.
jw's just have to be different you know.. yesterday i went to my citys museum.

I realized a positive outcome from my JW upbrining!
by scarredforlife ini have been on this board for over 2 years.
one thing that i have read over and over is to find something positive in my upbrining as a jw and i have been unable to do this.
all i have seen is negative.

In my religious upbringing we were taught not to worship man, nor any denominations but to worship God only. And make sure the minister followed the bible rather than their own doctrine. We have seen what can happen when people follow leaders rather than God. Remember, Jim Jones.

back in my early 20's, i had a pair of comfy old jeans that started to tear in about 3 places on the leg.
it was the fashion at the time so not only did they feel great to wear, they also looked 'in', not that i cared for that, but it was a bonus .

The scriptures do tell us to dress modestly, but alot of this information is unreal! In many churches some older folks come wearing clean overalls. This is all they have. God looks at the inside of a person not the outside.

After listening to the many testimonies of ex Jws, faders and some still in the organization but afraid to leave because of shunning ect. I am so glad that I did not become a JW!
