September 11, 2001- Where were you?

i work at a major airline in the in-flight training department.

i was sitting at the desk on the computer, i kid you not... writing the security (hijacking) curriculum for 2002, when someone came in and told me a plane flew into the wtc.

we all thought it was one of our planes.

I was sitting in my office when a co-worker came in and said "A plane just hit the World Trade Center in New York!" I thought it had been a small 2-seater plane that maybe had gotten lost in a fog and it crashed into the building. I said "That's awful!" and went back to work. About 20 minutes later she came back in and said "Another plane just hit the other tower!"

We knew then that something was really wrong so we grabbed the keys to the Council Room (looks like a mini-UN room with 6 gigantic screens). We turned the huge screens on and watched in horror. I couldn't believe my eyes when the first tower fell. It reminded me of watching Independence Day for the first time.

Still a day that will live in infamy.......

as some of you have noticed the asl video warning against masturbation (another guilt trip) is creating waves.

this is not small fry.

1. it is humorous - most topics (like other policies) are serious/depressing (blood, shunning, pedos).

I am just seeing this now. Holy christ, what were they thinking, making a video like this?! That second guy in the video looks like he's had plenty of practice. LOL.

The Jehovah's Witnesses Church is not the Catholic Church, that it has had verdict after verdict after verdict over the years. It's been in the press. We are all aware of it. This is the first verdict that the Jehovah's Witnesses church has faced. So, again, it is not the Catholic Church with multitudes of cases over a couple of decades.

Something tells me, a statment like this probably didn't go over too well with the jury as though the Borganization is somehow "better" than the Catholic Church, even though they've committed the exact same crime as them. Not sure what the hell he's basing that on, other than his own warped sense of importance and very vivid imagination. And perhaps Mr. Schnack should try reading the Society's own website where they admit that they HAVE been successfully sued in the past for their stand on protecting peophiles. i just got a call from a friend of mine who is going to court on friday to fight to see his children because his jw ex-wife doesn't want him to have access to them anymore.

in a nutshell this is his situation: met her about 12 years ago after she had left the borg and they got married and had a couple of kids.

she decided that she didn't want her children murdered by jehovah at armageddon so after being gone for 7 years, she went back and went back with a vengence.

In a nutshell this is his situation: met her about 12 years ago after she had left the Borg and they got married and had a couple of kids. She decided that she didn't want her children murdered by Jehovah at Armageddon so after being gone for 7 years, she went back and went back with a vengence. Predictably it wrecked the marriage, she moved away (but is still in Ontario) so he only sees his kids every other weekend and didn't have the money to fight her in court for more visitation rights. She has obviously been poisoning her kids' minds against their father because she told him recently that the kids "didn't want to see [him] anymore". They're 8 and 10 and had a great time with him at Xmas, so you know full well who's behind this.

I knew she was doing this all along but I don't think he fully realized what a dangerous cult it is until this happened. He wants to show the court that this religion could potentially kill his children if she's given full custody due to the blood doctrine and he wants anything written from the Organization that shows how sneaky they are when it comes to child custody.

I know this is short notice but if you guys can provide me with some ammo for him, it would be greatly appreciated. I don't have time right now because I have to do a paper for school (am enrolled in my undergrad degree again, which is why I haven't been on here. I even missed my 10th anniversary on here last week!)

nice to see the borg finally getting what they deserve.. anyway, the daily mail has done a story about it and at the end you can give your comments.

i think there are a number of 'faithful witlesses' on there who are giving the "thumbs down" to any negative comments about the borg, including mine.

I haven't been on here much lately, but I read Barb Anderson's report on the court case in California the other day. Nice to see the Borg finally getting what they deserve.

Anyway, The Daily Mail has done a story about it and at the end you can give your comments. I think there are a number of 'faithful Witlesses' on there who are giving the "thumbs down" to any negative comments about the Borg, including mine. I hope the idiots are counting it as time on their Field Serve-Us Report.

Normally, I couldn't care less about the 'thumbs down' but this is an important case and I don't want 'worldly' people to think that the general public doesn't believe that this article is in any way false. I would appreciate it if you guys would review the comments and give the appropriate 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' to the comments on there. the plaintiff, candace conti's goal from the very beginning was to bring enough attention to this problem to incentivize watchtower to change its policy of secrecy.

the award can be explained as it was decided: separate compensatory and punitive damages.

the punitive award is established in law to punish wrongdoing - here, the conscious disregard for others - and deter that conduct in the future.

Maybe not, but they'll change for the courts if they want to hang on to their $$$ and what's left of their shattered reputation.

This is excellent news. Thanks so much to Barb and Bill Bowen and their tireless work on helping to expose this horror that 'God's Chosen Ones' have tried keeping under cover over so many years. Of course, when the R&F find out about it and start asking questions, they'll be told that this is nothing more than a 'smear campaign' by Satan's minions and is a sure sign that 'true Christians' will be persecuted in the Last Daze.

It's also particularly nice to see that, given how much they've bashed the Catholic Church for protecting pedophiles, they're now in the same boat.
