by Princess inlast night i posted a picture of my watchtower jack o'lantern and lyin eyes double dog dared me to take it to the kingdom hall.
sooo................. after the trick or treating was over, we loaded the kids in the minivan and drove to the kingdom hall.
i put the pumpkin on the railing on the front porch right in front of the main entrance.

Happy Halloween - Another Ghost Story.
by roybatty inok, every family has at least one ghost story and heres the one that our family always told.. my grandfather was an officer in the dutch army and he, along with his family lived in indonesia (a dutch colony at the time).
evidently spiritism is really big down there among the indonesians.
anyway, my grandfather,along with a few of his army buddies, are making their way through a village.

Whether it's demonz or spirits of the dearly departed, I still believe that we as humans, shouldn't be screwing around with "the other world"..............I think in Leviticus it says that "there should not be found in any of you..................one who talks with the dead." or something like that.
I saw something on the History Channel a while ago and they were interviewing a priest or minister about exorcisms. The minister basically said that 'people start dabbling with things they shouldn't be and the next thing you know, they start having problems and then they call me to try and help.'
Just my two cents worth.

however, it seems that these people will most likely be forced to go back to haiti.
i was stunned.

Thanks D8TA; I don't believe there's any one simple solution to the problem, but I figure if Bush is willing to go in and bomb the crap out of Saddam Hussein, I'd like to see him get rid of the obviously oppressive government in Haiti.............make Haiti the 51st State of the Union!
I heard on CNN last night that the reason these people will most likely be sent back is because the States doesn't view Haiti and Cuba the same: Cuba is a Communist country, which means it's obviously oppressive; Haiti is not a Communist country (not that we can see), and is "friendly" towards the USA, so the US government sends the people back.

D8TA, I found your posts very interesting but have a question: if the drug lords are running the show in Haiti, why the hell doesn't the US government go in, get rid of the drug lords, instill democracy and give these people a chance for a decent life?

As most of you probably know, there were 200 refugees from Haiti that made it to US soil earlier today. However, it seems that these people will most likely be forced to go back to Haiti. I was stunned. I thought the rule was if you made it to shore, you could stay, but I guess that only applies to Cubans.
I feel bad for these people. Haiti is obviously a horrid place to live or these people would not risk their lives to come to live in Freedom. On the other hand, we in North America can't possibly house everyone who has a crappy existence.
Do you think these people should be allowed to remain in the US?

What did you do to piss the brothers off?
by Pleasuredome inwhen you were getting fed up with meetings before you gave up, was there anything you did to deliberately get on the brothers nerves?.
i turned up to a meeting once with jeans on, and a red top with cccp on it with the 'hammer and sickle'.
i also went to another bs group a few times so that if i wasnt at one group they'd think i was at the other and vice versa.

Our PO was/is the epitome of a dirty old man. Always leering at anything female......during the WT studies he just loved dwelling on the scriptures that talked about a woman's "flow of blood" and how "unclean" she was during this time. He's probably the only JW to ever go home and whack off over a WT study article.
Anyway, I'd had enough of his crap, so I phoned Bethel on him. Gave his name, the congregation and told them that he was a pig and that none of the sisters could stand him.
He obviously was spoken to cause he seemed to improve slightly for about 3 months. He knows it was me that called, but he's got no proof, so dare's nuthin he can do except give me the evil eye every time he walks by. I just grin. After all, I'm just trying to keep the congregation clean!
Funny, the scumbag never came to see me in the hospital with my surgery LOL!

if you did, i am sad to report that yesterday her 14 month daughter died.

I don't know Dana, but my heart absolutely breaks for her and her husband. There is no more greater tragedy than to lose a child and I can't imagine what they must be feeling. Please send her our condolences.
