  Queen finally does something useful

  in the uk there has been a big trial going on in which the former butler to diana princess of wales was charged with stealing some of her possessions after her death.

  he has pleaded not guilty from the start.

  this has been going on for close to 2 years, the case dramatically collapsed this morning when the queen finally decided to get off the royal butt and intervene saying that she knew he was holding some of diana's possessions.

  I'm wondering if the Queen is getting Alzheimers, or if she's just plain stunned.............the only reason she finally got off her royal butt and did something is because she happened to mention it to Prince Charles on the way to church last week. Charles obviously new the seriousness of the situation and told her she needed to talk to the police........DUH! MY NAME'S ELIZABETH!

  I used to like the Queen but after the heartless way she acted when Diana died, I have no respect left for her at ALL..........the only down to earth one is Fergie and look how they treated her!

  Congregation get-togethers

  did your hall ever organize times for the congregation to do activities?.

  about every 6-9 months, mine would have a congregation picnic.

  people would bring food, and we would play a softball game.

  We used to have get-togethers a long time ago: picnics down at the park every summer, and we even had a costume party a few times which were a scream! Then head office decided we were having far too much fun on a Saturday night and wouldn't let the congregations have costume parties any more because "would Jesus have a costume party?" I retaliated with "well, I can't see Jesus going tobbogoning either, but that doesn't mean there's something wrong with it."

  I guess we should have been concentrating on how bad and evil we were and how much more we could be doing for Jehovah on a Saturday night, rather than actually having a good time.

  Personally, I think JFK was one of the best people that ever lived. During the Cuban Missle Crisis, he refused to cave to mounting pressure from the military, the navy and all his so-called advisors, to bomb the Russians out of Cuba. By his repeated efforts of using non-violent methods to try and settle the problem, he saved mankind from himself and prevented WW III.

  No other man in history has had to make the decision that could systematically wiped out all life on earth. For that, JFK deserves recognition.

  if the subject of religion or even jehovah's witnesses ringing your doorbell has come up, do you shy away from talking about ever being a witness?

  some have indicated that they felt stupid for ever believing in the watchtower.

  others have said they have a responsibility to help others not get involved in this "cult".

  Here's a question about evolution I don't understand:

  If it's "survival of the fittest", and we came from apes, then why the hell are there still apes around today? Where's all the "ape men"?? Since ape men were supposedly farther up the food chain than apes, there should be no apes today, but various forms of ape men........some more ape than men, some more men than ape.

  Speaking of cow's blood, is it widely known amongst the Witnesses that they can now take 'fractions" or "components" of blood (it's a "conscious" matter), in particular, fractions of this cow blood??
