A Letter from a disfellowshipped JW

there was a disfellowshipped jw that came to the witness now for jesus convention in pennsylvania.

we all tried to show him the error of the jw way but he is just so blinded that he couldn't understand what the problem is with jws (can you believe it?!

) we tried until we were blue in the face and it seemed that with every step we went forward with him one day, we went back two the next.

Why are you so schocked that he could not see it your way?

He's not the only one, there are 6.5 million that do not agree with you. You were one of them.

I do not agree with the JW anymore but for you to think he has to see it your way,, it's also wrong.

You are doing excatly what JW do, thinking you have the truth in Jesus and anyone that does not see it your way are misled.

Just because you have found Jesus it does not make you right.

Enjoy your faith, feel good about your connection with Jesus but be open minded.

i told him i had questions about salvation, the mosiac law and christmas/holidays.. .

salvation:.

i know the jws say that salvation is of works, and noone knows that they are saved/have salvation until after they die.

i hate to tell you but you have selected subjects you will not make any headway with a jw-

my suggestion is to start with the wt every changing dogmas that the claimed were from god

if not you will not make any headway

Watchtower Decline Confirmed - Only 1.9% growth in 2006!

the official watchtower 2006 service year report is not out yet, but i have it on good sources that this year's increase on publishers number is 1.9%.

the average number of publishers will be around 6,500,000. .

here's the % increase for this decade:.

PLEASE FOLKS do not confuse baptism numbers with publishers numbers

due to the way wt counts folks you are running numbers on top of each other-

for example if you have a congo with 100 publishers- they could be 70 baptized and 30 not-

so when 25 folks get baptized you still got 100 publishers

same with bible studies, if the congo reports 30 bible studies and 20 are family studies, then they report 40 bible studies, 10 jw family start to count their family study, - they still are not studing with anyone NEW in the terrirtory, and the kids are 4 and 5, so they will have a bible study for 10yrs before these get baptized

wt has this funky way of counting foks and as a result it gives you false and incorrect impressions-

case in point, my old CO told us for example the wt will report 13,000, New pioneers signed up, but they make no mention of the fact that with the new service year 14,500 dropped off-

so unless you do some digging and adding you will see that in so many areas that look like grouip, it is no more than fuzzy numbers

i agree that everyone should have the right to practice thier own religion, as long as it doesn't interfere with another person right to privacy and right to not be harassed in their own home by those who feel they have the better religion.. the door to door work of jws is harassment, when you consider that they call for the most part in the morning, univited to talk about why there religion is the right one and often have very bad things to say about other belief systems, which has the potential of disturbing the peace.

if my stock gained 1.9% annually, and last year just 1.3%, I would count it good news, not bad for my portfolio. Not that the increase is good - but it is not a decline as the post indicated.

you must not have any stocks or investments- if your stocks/portfolio only move "Point .6 percent of "One Percent" the fees and service charges would pratically wipe out any gains

After taking out 6-10 percent of your pay for your 401K and it only grew .6% of of One Percent- you got a bad 401 K my man

let me share with you one of the key numbers the Boys in the Service Dept looks at

Baptism!!!!!! for Baptisms are the payout for all the Billions of Hours, Billions of pc of literature and the Largest purchase ever by a printing organization for the new presses up at the Farm

this is what the Service Dept is looking for- 1 % baptism, yes just 1% baptism at each convention, assembly, special assembly day

so when there are 1000 in attendance they are looking at AT LEAST 10 foks hitting the water, now we are not going to even talk about the make up of the 10 folks, jw kids vs door to door bible studies, just 1% is what they want,, of course it is better if the the 10 folks are door to door folks, but hey they will take the kids if nothing else

in the last 5 yrs and i have been involved with the jw for 35yrs, they are having more circiut assemblies where NOONE IS GETTING BAPTIZED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the speaker is talking to Empty chairs-

"When a circiut assembly has no-one getting baptized jw have spent the last 6 month walking the street with nothing to show for it"

that is why so many jw are tiring out- the Hip Hip Horray only last so long

after 9-11 jw realized like after 1914 and the war was over life goes on

just a fyi

when the case was lost in OH i wrote the mayor and explained to him --who i was "a Former Society Man"- smile

i told him that the jw have a little "UN-known program"-- in place that householders can particpate in free of charge and it would cost the city $0.00-no legal fees , no wt lawsuits etc. and it will prevent the jw from coming by.

when my wife and i left wt --we had a home built in a beatiful subdivision here in the suburbs of Washington DC, when we left we became acitve in community issues. we both were elected to our homeowners boards

the jw are always working our area, so i explained to my neighbors that the jw have introduced a "NEW Program" that allows homeowers who perfer not to rec a visit --not to get one==

i epxlained that this "New Program" is called the "Do Not Call List" much like other "OP-OUT" programs that folks sign up for when they don't want to be bothered.

i explained to them that the jw have a little card that they note homes not to call on so that they will not waste your time or theirs-

i went on to explained to them the next time a jw stiops by - just merely informed the jw that they would like to participate in the "Program" that you jw offer to homeowners

"The Do Not call List" and can you put my home down on the list- smile-

well it went over so well with my neighbors cause they started requested this by the jw - i know the local elders must have freaked out

my wife- Lady C got the bright idea of why not have some real fun- since we have a Newsletter for the homeowners, that shows religous services times, local events and news -etc

why not put it into the newsletter- my wife said

so i thought about it and how would i do this --so when the board meet, i introduced the "New Program" that the JW were offering for FREE-smiel an "OP\OuT= Do not call program-

as one board member said, "that is nice that they would do that, now if we could only get all the patio and deck builders, wiindow washer, landscape folks to offer something like that"

being that the program is Offered we merely made the community aware of this fine serviced offered by the jw- smile

sure enough- folks on other streets started requesting the jw to put thier homes on the "Do Not Call List"

from what i was told by a jw who we helped to get out- that the CO expressed concern that in our territory so many folks were requesting to be put on the Do Not call list

i will see if i can find the newletter we put it in and scan it for you all-

so i wrote the mayor and told him that the folks could literally request to be put on the Do Not Call List for FREE, since it is a JW "Program"

see folks the wt uses all means legally to shutdown websites, harrass folks,etc

we need to be more creative in dealling with the wt, being that most of us are former jw we must take what we learned and now just FLIP IT!!!!!!!!!!!

it is so much fun

we are always getting solictors stopping by and many homeowners wanted to know what could be done about it, including jw, we have alittle over 800 homes in out subdivision-

so one night i told my wife i wanted to have some unn

Hand him YOUR Bible and Ask: "how does the Watchtower decide which parts of blood God permits?"

could you used bible to show me since this issue could prove to be a life and death situation

i'm hoping that someone can help me out a bit with a response to someone over at beliefnet.

they gyst of the thing is this person keeps insisting that, according to some elders and active jw's they know, the wts does not nor has ever claimed that a person has to be associated with the org to be approved by god.

this person claims the wts says that "christianity" is god's organization and that as long as a person conforms their life to the bible they don't have to be a jw to be approved by him.. they also say that the wts doesn't teach that all other religions are worshipping (giving honor) to satan.

yea she dogged me hard

but i had about 15 folks surfing the site and they were tripping out at all the deletions and flipflops on her part

she is the best testimony of why not to become a jw i can think of

actually she serves a valuble role and don't even realize it.

you got to love it

she actually does more damage than she can imagine

in fact i find typically when a jw attempts to defend some of the Goofy stuff of the wt it literally makes them look like fools

and we get all of that for freeeeee
