Is it me or do the JW's act like the Circuit Overseer is Jesus himself?
by stillstuckcruz ini'm sure many have noticed that.
now obviously many more will go out in fs than usual and such because the co brings more "insight" on fs than the usual brothers.
understandable i guess.

No, it's not just you. People in the congregation that I attended would use their vacation time to go out in service for the week. They would actually race to the signup sheet just to feed the CO and his wife. Some sisters would try to outdo each other in providing the best meals for the week. There was a couple of near fights about it. They would fill up his car and take him and his wife to the best restaurants. There was an increase in the meeting attendance and commenting. The restrooms were extra clean and they would put extra large bills in the contribution box in front of CO so they would look good. When the visit was over, they went back to business as usual.

Mr. Falcon Asks: Harrassed? Exiled? Lost your family? It's okay..... You're just dealing with IMPERFECT MEN.
by Mr. Falcon ini'm pretty sure everyone here has been "counseled" with this little gem.
"oh sure, that does seem impractical" or "yes, brother headup-hisass shouldn't have done that.......but you must remember that we are dealing with imperfect men.".
few responses insult your intelligence as much as the above statement does.

Have you personally called out an elder on a mistake? What became of him?
I sure have. While in a non-judicial meeting with a sister from my congregation and 2 elders. They were being nosey about my private business and the sister that was there with me, allowed me to stay in her home temporarily because I became unemployed. I lost my apartment and and the elders in the KH were late with any help that was needed. I called the PO a liar because he said that I never called him. When I did that, everyone looked at me as if I committed a gross sin. I didn't gived a S**T and I went over his head and notified the CO. Well, I got the "Imperfect Men" speech and was asked if I maybe forgot to let the elders know about my situation and I told him that "that's always the excuse". I wanted him to know that I would be using that "Imperfect Women excuse". Then he went on with "Now, sister, you know", and I hung up the phone. I no longer wanted to hear that BS again. I did receive several phone calls afterwards to no avail.

I went to Krispee Kreme instead. Damn, the red HOT sign was on and I could not resist. I did not want to be around a bunch of hypocrites.

Another part of me thinks that I should just live my life and let the chips fall where they may.
This is what I do. I'm living my life the way that I want to. I won't have the WTBS telling me what to do. There are so many people that waste their lives OBEYING the Society with it's directives. I used to try and listen to the counsel given from the platform, but I could no longer stand being around those so called "loving" Dubs any longer. I'm not aware if I am disfellowshipped or not cuz I don't give a S**T about what they think. Just to show how much I give a F**K, I did not attend the Memorial yesterday.

I have had that happen to me twice and I was surprised that I was not alone. There are more dubs living double lives than most people think.

My last real meeting was January 2011, although I did attend the Memorial. Me and my husband moved out of state and we stayed with his parents temporarily. One stipulation for staying there was that we HAD to attend the meetings. This not somthing I wanted to do, but did so anyway. It was used as a way to control my husband because he never took to the truth like the rest of the family. I told his father that I did not appreciate being forced to do anything like that because it would change how I felt about the Borg, and that he should really respect that. He's an onery old fool who'll never change because the "troof" is all he knows. The last meeting that I ever attended at HIS hall (Jan 2011) was memorable because the CO was coming to visit and a part of the meeting was about paying the cost of his expenses. They broke it down to how much that it was going to cost each publisher to help. I looked around at all of those dummies (father-in-law included) voting on doing this, all the while there were some having money issues themselves. I got tired of supporting this religion with my hard earned dollars on men who did not respect me as a woman.
