I went to Krispee Kreme instead. Damn, the red HOT sign was on and I could not resist. I did not want to be around a bunch of hypocrites.

Another part of me thinks that I should just live my life and let the chips fall where they may.
This is what I do. I'm living my life the way that I want to. I won't have the WTBS telling me what to do. There are so many people that waste their lives OBEYING the Society with it's directives. I used to try and listen to the counsel given from the platform, but I could no longer stand being around those so called "loving" Dubs any longer. I'm not aware if I am disfellowshipped or not cuz I don't give a S**T about what they think. Just to show how much I give a F**K, I did not attend the Memorial yesterday.

I have had that happen to me twice and I was surprised that I was not alone. There are more dubs living double lives than most people think.

My last real meeting was January 2011, although I did attend the Memorial. Me and my husband moved out of state and we stayed with his parents temporarily. One stipulation for staying there was that we HAD to attend the meetings. This not somthing I wanted to do, but did so anyway. It was used as a way to control my husband because he never took to the truth like the rest of the family. I told his father that I did not appreciate being forced to do anything like that because it would change how I felt about the Borg, and that he should really respect that. He's an onery old fool who'll never change because the "troof" is all he knows. The last meeting that I ever attended at HIS hall (Jan 2011) was memorable because the CO was coming to visit and a part of the meeting was about paying the cost of his expenses. They broke it down to how much that it was going to cost each publisher to help. I looked around at all of those dummies (father-in-law included) voting on doing this, all the while there were some having money issues themselves. I got tired of supporting this religion with my hard earned dollars on men who did not respect me as a woman.

We Give/Gave Up So Much Over This Thing
by OnTheWayOut ini think of a reporter that breaks a huge story about some corruption in the government who won't reveal his source of information.
the government uses anti-terrorist laws against that reporter to try to force him to speak.
the laws are designed to protect the people and are used in a warped way to protect the government and allow it to hide it's corruption.

I gave up my independence, education (went to school eventually, but would be in a better postion financially), money, gas, time, shunned some folks, and some work in order to devote my efforts to the WTBS. I will never, ever, ever, ever, EVER do it again.

State your "epiphany moment " for leaving the WT
by caliber ini have found some powerful reinforcements when people have stated their " epiphany moment "... please share some.. my turning pointing began when i was badly hurt by a person i had always viewed as a literal brother.
i realized that if his.
love was conditional.... if it was the case with him , then how about those i had less affection for and trust in ?.

I began to see things more clearly when I started doing research about the history of the WTBS and CTR. I saw no love anymore between those in my hall. I got tired of certain elders thinking that what they said was law and no one was to question it. I learned that my "super fine" asshole of a brother-in-law cheat on my sister. The last thing was the generation issue and it was the same "reheated food" that I have heard for years. For the first time in my life, I am living my life and I don't give a shit what they think!

It has taken me a while to get this spell and I ain't never going back. I had a chat with my cousin today and she tried preaching me back to "Jehovah God". She said that Jehovah still loved me and I needed to go back to the meetings because "we are in the last days" and that because of the recent earthquake and trouble in the Middle East, that should be the incentive that I need to reactivate myself. I told her that I'm no longer accountable to the WTBS because I am an adult and whatever I choose to do, is my choice. She said that she will "pray for me". Yada, yada, yada.

I would never do this to any member of my family, especially my husband. I'm not sure if this has been posted before or not. Please bear with me because I know that it happens to many people on the board. Can you ever get over being turned in by your husband or wife? How did you handle it? What is your relationship status afterwards?
