Video is up - Grandma pleads with JW Granddaughter
by BONEZZ infinally got it up on youtube...the title right at the moment is just "grandma" but it's going to change to "grandma pleads with jehovah's witness granddaughter.".

we taped it about a week ago and my mom went into the hospital 3 days ago.

Losingit,
Go into survival mode. What must you do to survive? Paperwork is essential to your family's future? Get it done whether you want to or not, whether you can bare the thought of it or not. Don't focus on what you want or don't to do right now. Do what must be done, however unpleasant or seemingly impossible.
Hugs to you.

Why do you no longer have a facebook account? Your decision or something your hubby wanted?

Demons in a coffee shop? How would you react?
by laverite ini just saw this very short two minute video -- brilliant.
it's gone "viral" on the interwebs/nets.
i couldn't help but imagine that if a jw had been in this coffee shop, s/he would have been screaming "jehovah!

Steve2 - beautifully said. Very profound and succinct at the same time.

Hello to my favourite Outlaw/Laughing Doggie! It really IS messed up. I couldn't help thinking that if I had been there when this went down when I was a JW, I'd have fainted right on the spot. I was terrified of demons and constantly worried about being attacked. I wouldn't have had the strength to scream "Jehovah!" I am sure. I'd just have lost consciousness due to fear. As a JW, I was a drama queen especially in regard to anything to do with demons. Now, I am just a gay superhero so I've lost that particular fear.

How would you react now as opposed to when you were a JW?

Isn't it pretty much a sin already? If someone is questioning...they are liable to be labelled 'apostate.'

Kindness and Jehovah's PeopleĀ
by laverite ini came across the following quote the other day and it has stuck a chord with me.
jehovah's people tm spend their lives "pondering the human predicament" (how bad it is, how the world is about to end).
how meaningless all of their efforts and "ponderings" are.

And the goodness isn't even good. It's just all about legalistic mumbo jumbo and "busy work" that benefits no one: walking as slowly as possible from door to door when you know no one is even home to answer...Standing at the door waiting as long as possible before walking slowly to the next house.
