My wife went through this for a couple of years. Suddenly in the middle of the night she'd throw the covers off and start fanning herself. During the day she'd suddenly have to take off whatever she could and fan herself. She also had certian skin issues as well. Fortunatly it has tapered off and only occurs on rare occasions. I can't make any endorsement but she swore by this stuff...said it really helped http://www.amazon.com/Herbs-Etc-Menopautonic-120-Softgel/dp/B000Q3BZXM

I dropped TTATT to some door knockers today
by TheStumbler intwo jws came to my door today and i dropped a few truths bombs on them.
i thought i'd share my account of how the conversation went.. .

What a great conversation !
I always love how Jehovah's Witnesses dismiss science as limited human reasoning until science proves something they believe is true. Then they will quote the scientist or refer to the scientific study, in their publications.

Nauseating JW.org section for small children - CUTOUTS? Really?
by BluePill2 ini am not hot linking to jw borg, but they have a whole section for obviously very small children (become j's friend, with a whole array of caleb-related stuff).
i have actually never visited the site, today was the first time, because i wanted to check a technical information about their websites architecture and came across this sh*t!.
the way they are targeting small kids is nauseating me (i have a 5 year old, still in with her mother).

Looks like Caleb and Sophia might be wearing the special magic underwear that Mormons wear.
But seriously, I think this will backfire when the little kids being raised on this become teens and eventually see through the obvious manipulation and will despise having been made fools of as children.

Reunion- Stepping Back to a Time Before All the JW Stuff Started
by OnTheWayOut inalthough i was exposed to the jw's as a child as the only religion i knew, i was not a jw until i got out of the navy as a conscientious objector.
so i was typical "worldly" when i hit 18 out of high school and i got to see the world before personal catastrophy involving heavy drinking made me turn to the lies that i thought were "the truth.
" so just over 30 years ago, i got the special privilege of serving as the original crew of a brand new ship with a crew slightly over 200. i served 5 years on the "uss worldly" and then left to become a jw.. when you are the first crew, you learn together how to use that ship, how to run things smoothly.

There's nothing like reconnecting with friends you made when you were young. I don't think you ever make bonds like that again in life or have too many opportunities later in life to share such camaraderie with others. I'm glad you went and it was uplifting for you.

Nope...neither my wife or I ever wound up on the cover of Disfellowshipped! magazine or even so much as posed for the cover of it's semi monthly companion... Disassociated! .
We managed to fade out successfuly. My last time in a K.H. was a Memorial. After attending the same Hall regularly for over 25 years, it took them nearly 3 years before anyone came looking for us...they knew better. It was the new C.O who arrived one rainy Saturday morning unannounced and I filled him in on what caused us to leave...really gave him an earful. He slunk away and we haven't heard a thing from them since.

If JW's are the only ones with The truth and if Satan is in control of the world and Christendom is his empire and he is responsible for spiritual blindness, how could anyone ever become a JW in the first place ?

There are some questions I have had about the JWs view "post-Armaggeddon"
by booker-t ini have always wondered how jws believe about "post-armaggeddon" earth.
question#1 how will jws survivors bury all of the dead bodies.
with about 4 billion people on earth today how can 8 million jw(1/2 of them children and babies) bury all of those dead bodies?

Back in 1974 when everyone was on pins and needles about the start of the Tribulation. I remember a middle aged brother commenting at the Watchtower study saying "Scientists have seen a worldwide increase in carrion birds in the last few years and we know that this is how Jehovah will take care of the dead after Armageddon."
The Study Conductor said "There's no proof of any such thing, lets restrict our comments to the information in the paragraph."
You could have heard a pin drop.
