They'll tell you if you're doing we'll after leaving the truth, it's because Satan has won you over and is deceiving you by making it seem as if you are on the right course. If you are doing poorly, it's because you've lost Jehovah's blessing and Satan has you in his power. They've got it set up so no matter what happens...leaving is the worst thing you can possibly do.

My life of Debauchery since leaving WTBT$-They were right!!!
by Gojira_101 insince april 1st will be officially 6 months and i will be considered inactive, i thought this would be a good time for me to review my life since leaving....and i guess wtbt$ is right in that my life would return to a debauched state if i left them...so here is my review and i'm being totally serious here.. .
sex: yes i have sex with my husband.....i guess we have returned to the world because we take advantage of our marital dues.. related to sex: no longer just missionary.
drugs: yes i have been taking drugs......my allergies have been so bad the last few days i just couldn't handle it anymore and i gave in to the temptation to take over the counter allergies medicine.. rock and roll: yes......i am no longer listening to the kingdom melodies (i never really did anyways), and have gone to listening to the devils music.

I realize now that one of the sources of our disagreements is that you are in pursuit truth, whereas I feel sure that I have found it.
Once we are thoroughly convinced we have arrived at the truth, further searching would not only be fruitless, but and we may even be led, due
to the enthusiasm of discovery, to dislodging the truth we have correctly acquired.
2 Cor 13:5
Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.

Stop Supporting Satan!!!
by The Searcher insunday's study article makes a very damning statement!!!
paragraph 15 ; .........resting our hope on our savings, investments, or ability to earn money in this system amounts to resting our hope on .......... satan.

"So why doesnt the WTS sell everything and buy tv ads to spread the message and save everyone if Armageddon is tomorrow.?"
With a few well placed Ads, TV specials or Satellite Broadcasts, instead of plodding from door to door, the good news would be preached throughout the inhabited earth in a short time and then the end WOULD finally come. But that's not what printing companies do.

Do You Believe In ANYTHING That The Witnesses Taught At This Point In Your Life?
by minimus infor example, they pride themselves in what they don't believe such as immortal souls, the trinity, hellfire, etc.. some exjws still believe it is the "truth" and support the basics.. .

I still believe that it's ok with God for blood to be removed from someone else's body, spun down and separated into fractions and used for medical purposes so long as A:) a non-JW donates the blood B:) a non-JW separates the components and administers them.

Is a slow fade being selfish when you have kids?
by dissonance_resolved inso i got some great advice to take things very slowly with the husband and kids in order to be able to fade and still maintain contact with my parents and siblings.
but today i got a call from my son's teacher that he was having a meltdown because he was worried about all his friends and teachers being destroyed at armageddon.... first i felt like such a schmuck for ever having allowed that thought to enter my son's head, then i thought, is it psychological torture for me not to immediately correct the situation?
i had a long talk with him about how god is perfectly just and full of love and he didn't have to worry about that at all, but it still seemed lukewarm.

As a kid I had terrible Armegeddon nightmares about my non JW Dad being killed by God for not being a Witness or myself having to sacrifice my little sisters to the bad guys instead of giving into their torture to save them or myself. Looking back I realize that in between meetings my anxiety calmed somewhat only to be refueled again at the next one. As a middle aged adult the resulting lifelong difficulty I suffered with anxiety became almost unbearable at the end of my JW career. Meetings and any kind of talk about the last days would trigger heart palpitations and stomach flip flops which could only be alleviated by stealing out to my car where I began stashing a small container of beer or wine to quell the symptoms. This was a drastic move for me as a virtual non drinker, and a clue that something had to be done. Upon my subsequent self directed exit from the Org. My anxiety disappeared overnight and has not returned in almost 5 years. It has been such a relief and well worth the loss of every friend I ever knew.
If you can convince your family that for the sake of your son you need to take a little break from anything having to do with death and destruction or talk of the end of the world until he comes to grips with the obvious trauma he has suffered from exposure to all this dooms day talk, it might be the queue you need to make a long term exit. It is completely understandable how a ny kid who is truly listening at the meetings could be frightened by what he is hearing over and over from the adults in his little world.

Snarky Question
by earthfire inso i have a question that's been bothering me for years.
i know this is extreme but i think you'll see where i'm going with this.
so ex-jw's are evil we're on "satan's side" as my dad told me and we aren't worth a hello.

This shunning business has very little to do with them being loyal to God or being concerned about upholding his principals.. It has more to do with you you having dared to offend their own sensibilities and them having the opportunity to exercise over you what little bit of personal power they have left.
These folks will turn their backs on a lifelong friend, even a youngster who has transgressed then turn around and welcome with open arms into the congregation, someone who they know little or nothing about and have no idea what evil they may have been up to.

Bobby Rogers, founding member of The Miracles passes
by designs inbobby rogers, along with cousin claudette (wife of smokey robinson), pete moore, ronnie white and smokey robinson formed the miracles in 1959 and had their first hits with 'bad girl' and the first motown #1 hit with 'shop around'.
the miracles became world famous for ooo baby baby, tracks of my tears, you've really got a hold on me among many others.. bobby wrote as well as sang and choreographed for the miracles, temptations, mary wells, marvin gaye, and the marvelettes (he was married to marvelettes lead singer wanda young).
going to a go go, ain't that peculiar, the way you do the things you do, my baby, what love has joined together are some of the songs he authored and co-wrote.. every summer in the 60s the motown review would come to los angeles.. here the miracles perform shop around.

Imagine how much less fun life would have been if these folks would have never met each other or hadn't been determined enough to make sure their music got heard. Glad they came along and hopefully Mr. Rogers had a good life and a lot of fun being an entertainer.
