  Most entertaining platform misdeed.

  many years ago before assembly halls we used to hire large halls for circuit assemblies.

  the public talk, always after lunch on the sunday was always the big (though boring) event.

  the chairman sat on the stage all the time whilst the speaker for the hour long talk droned on.

  When the CO got to my child he asked "who is your favourite Bible character?" they responded with "Princess Fiona."

  Mwahahahahahahaha! That is the best comment to EVER come off a platform!

  When i was younge i got on the platform with my picture. I was stood next to the podium and i could see the C.O's notes... So being a nosey little madam i started to read them... The C.O caught me reading and asked me if i wanted to finish his talk... I said no thanks... He said ''well you have been reading my notes, so you can finish for me''... He stepped back from the podium and stood looking at me.. The cong started laughing... I had tears rolling down my face... The other kids on the platform were just staring at me! It was horrible! Arrrggghhhh don't you just hate it when horrid memories come flooding back?? I was soo relieved to get off the platform!

  When i got to Apostates i LOL'd! The only way to steer clear of apostates is to live in a commune.... FOOLS!

  I'm soo glad i will NOT be getting up at 5.30.... Getting out the house for 7...Take a long drive to the stadium.... Sit all day with a bored child and hubby.... Be treated like shat from the other dubs.... Rush to get to car otherwise you end up on car park for two hours.... Drive the long journey back, while sat in the car feeling really emotional.... Get home..... Unload car.... Feed weary tearful child.... Bath said weary child and put to bed.... Reassure child that it's only for another two days and how proud Jehovah is of her.... Feed self and hubby.... Cry a little on setee...Make sandwiches for following day.... Clean up....Have a cup of tea and cry some more.... Have hubby put his arms round shoulders and say it's going to be ok.... Have a bath.... Fall into bed.... Can't sleep as soo overtired.... Fall asleep about 3.... Have violent nightmares.... Alarm goes off at half 5..... Wearily drags self out of bed to start again..... Wake up child 20 minutes before we leave.... Calm child down and promise to buy child a present on monday....Repeat steps for remaining days.... WTFricking hell!

  Going to be enjoying a lovely weekend with family instead!

  A polite way to ask someone to keep their hands to themselves...

  what's a polite way to ask a man to keep his hands to himself while conversing in a group with you?.

  this neighbor of mine and i were sitting in chairs on the deck with other people.. he always touched me whenever he said anything to me or i said anything to him.. it was as if he was using touch like an antenna to send and receive signals.. i didn't know what to do, so instead of risking embarrassment for us both, i did nothing but stand up and step away.. i stepped away after he attempted to caress my hamstrings on one leg.. *shudder*.

  wonder why 60+ year old men think that a woman being nice to him means she's hot for him.. also wonders why it's only the smoking, beer guzzling, scrawny, bony, and smelly old men who do that.. .

  Can we assume that this apparent acceptance of amputation as a response, applies equally to woman who like to touch men that they desire?

  Never known a man to complain when being touched by a woman.... Unless she's a fugly.

  JAPANS EARTHQUAKE - Aftershock Sequence

  below is a link to an interactive map of the japanese earthquake and it's aftershock sequence.. there are a number of interactive tools enabling a close examination of what took place .

  ie; you can speed up the sequence and select various periods of activity.

  you can also pause the sequence and hover the pointer over specific quakes to determine depth, magnitude etc.. the map will open beginning with day one .

  Love and light is on it's way to those in Japan

  Having a similar experience here in Christchurch has been a real eye-opener. Some say about 10% of the population here will suffer long-term or permanent psychological problems (that's about 40,000).

  I have felt a minor earthquake where the bed shook and moved into the middle of the room... That was scary enough... To be in an earthquake that causes death and destruction..... I can't imagine.

  Like many, I used to view an Earthquake as an event . . . once past you clean up and recover . . . but it's way more than that, each larger shake seems to wind the clock back to day one all over again. We still get 3 or 4 a day here . . . 9 months after the first quake.

  It's causing people to relive the fear with each aftershock.... Are the aftershocks big ones??

  When you consider the Tsunami as well . . . many in Japan will still be in a living hell . . . I feel so sorry for them.

  Me too! It's amazing the strength of these people though... they are pulling together and not letting it overwhelm them. I would be a wreck!

  ~Close to Others..Close to My Self~

  i am using this as my very own personal therapy session to express some of what has been swimming around in my head~.

  it may not take much shape, i'll be letting it flow.... there is nothing like feeling understood and accepted and loved for who you are.

  but that's a difficult thing to really feel when there is little or no history with a person.

  Oh my that is frightening! Thanks for the link really interesting.

  I had heard on the News that with all the after shocks, the Japenese are suffering from severe motion sickness..... Can't begin to imagine the fear they must be experiencing.

  bang out of order seems to have made a couple of posters laugh on here, as they had never heard it before.. it's wierd for me because it's a saying i have always heard/used...good old british slang.. it means that what someone has said is hurtful and unacceptable.. some slang terms from where i come from in the ''black country''.. up the wooden hills - go to bed.

  put the wood in the hole - shut the door.

  chuffed - pleased.

  One of Carrots customers made him a spam sandwich once cause she was convinced i didn't feed him properly! Lol. He said it was NOT good! Lol

  In Watchtower world T.Rex's big teeth were for stripping leaves off trees.
