Name some "great" bands/artists you detest

musicians that are considered iconic, that people look at you funny when you say how much you hate them?.

personally, i've never been able to stand ac/dc.

besides the lead singer's whiny, annoying voice that sounds like nails on a chalk board, there's nothing at all to the music.

Oasis! I cannot abear Liam Gallahger... I just want to punch him in the face!

Radiohead! Their music is soo depressing, it makes me want to throw myself off a cliff and land on spikey rocks!

Have a good Easter weekend.

i'm going to my parents for this long weekend, along with my boys, my aunt and her twin boys (same age as my oldest), and our pup.

will be a busy and bustling weekend, seeing as the basement recently flooded, so that area is now off-limits.

so for the next five days, the four and a half hour drive tomorrow is going to be the only quiet time i think i'm going to get, lol.. however, my mother is going to have a big pot of homemade chili waiting for us... and that alone would be worth the drive and the craziness :).

Are You Raising An Introvert?

its not easy being an introvert in an extrovert worldespecially when youre a kid.

it is even more difficult if none of the adults in the kids life recognize that the child is an introvert.

this doesnt happen only when the childs parents are extroverts, but also with introverted parents who have never understood their own introverted nature.. .

I'm an Introvert and so is Babysprout... Two fabulous books i found that helped me so much are by Elaine N. Aron. ''The highly sensitive person'' and ''The highly sensitive child''. I followed the guidlines in ''The highly sensitive child'' and now Babysprout is very settled and content... She still gets overwhelmed and exhausted very easily, but all my family know how to deal with her and settle her down. If a situation arises and it's too much for her to handle she's sent to a quiet place to recharge. The book also tells you the signs to look for before a ''melt down'' ensues.

Were throwing Babysprout an easter egg hunt tomorrow and fingers crossed we both handle it! Lol.

I will be hiding under the kitchen table with ear plugs!

Do any other extroverts find that when you are entertaining or are with others, the exhaustion hit's suddenly and you just need to get out immediately?? I tend to find i feel ill [nausea, stomach pain, trembling, headaches, urge to run away].

Homeschooling and JW children

how many jw kids are homeschooled where you are?

its not very common here in the borough where i live.

i just found out on the grapevine that a girl i know is taking her kids out of our very good primary school because she feels the other children are having such a bad influence on her kids.

My sister and I were homeschooled... I was because of the ''fear'' the Borg created in me and my sister was because of the severity of the bullying she went through cause of being a dub!

My mom worked bloody hard with us! She spent every night planning our work for the next day! I went onto College and got some qualifications. (getting qualifications in what i actually want to do now). My sister ended up with very good, well paid jobs.

We were the only dubbies in our Cong that were HS... My parents were slated for it.

Carrots ex g'friend was HS and her parents did no schooling with her! She was {in carrots own words} as thick as pig s@*t... Ended up working as a part time cleaner and pioneering!

Both my sister and I would have loved school if it had not been for being dubbies! God i HATE THAT RELIGION!

WHY DOES RELIGION BECOME VIOLENT?

almost without exception all major religons become violent at there inception, or not long after they have become established, why?

Because it's all about power and greed! Each religion is convinced they are the ''one true'' religion so feel they can Lord it about and cause death and destruction!

Nothing about religion is godly!
