  in the past weeks, i have been throwing away my 32 year library of books.

  the feeling of freeing myself from the weight of the lies contained within the pages was my objective.

  i have always been afraid of letting them go just in case it was the "truth.

  coming from a grossly dysfunctional family system, i found the wt religion attractive.

  they had all the answers to life's problems or so they claimed.

  i tried to be the best little jw ever and went by all the rules.

  any thoughts on how he gets his info on dead people to feed back to families.

  he seems to give out info that only the dead person would know.. is there a presence that exists after death?

  are there people floating around before they go to wherever?

  If you aren't Lutheran, you won't get to heaven

  just had a conversation with a friend who is going to pre-marriage classes at her soon to be husband's lutheran church.

  she (a methodist) says that she is causing quite an uproar because she keeps asking questions and the minister told her off at her last class.

  she questioned his statement that a person cannot understand the bible properly unless they are lutheran.

  Reviling - have you been admonished not to

  there was a talk in august or september of this year that told what men's places were, women's places were, and children.

  i can't find my notes (think i threw them away when i angry and reviled the wts.).

  i do remember the speaker telling women not to revile their husbands.

  Can you be a glutton and inherit god's kingdom?

  i was looking for the scripture about who will inherit god's kingdom and can't find it because i packed up all my books and stored them.

  is there mention of gluttony being one of the things that will keep you out?

  proverbs 23:20 says a drunkard and a glutton will come to proverty.. proverbs 28:7 says one having companionship with a flutton humiliates his father.. so if i can't take blood transfusions, be a drunkard, lie with same sex people, etc.

  Was my face red

  while sitting with the principal of my son's elementary school and explaining why my son would not be saying the pledge to the flag, i heard this announcement over the loud speaker, "and the pledge will be said by ryan b.

  " my son!

  his voice loud and clear over the loud speaker and i sat with a burning face.

  Seventh Day Adventist Funeral

  i attended a seventh day adventist funeral today.

  she was a really nice person that i had worked with some years ago.

  she was kind to everyone, never a bad word about anyone, always willing to help, and didn't toss her religion down your throat.

  i was given this book by a psychiatrist 30 years ago.

  the thought behind the book was that jesus would not have stayed single and they gave the reasons why.

  now that i am looking for more insight into religion, i would like to have the book again.

  Religious Sexism

  i attended college for the first time at age 46 after quietly walking away from the jw's.

  i really wanted my children to go to college and thought my going would inspire them.

  by the way, it worked.
