Gotta agree with label licker. I'm preface this by saying I don't believe the Bible is the word of god (I'm an atheist). Without the OT the NT has no purpose. The NT was written to "fulfill" the OT.

Music Upon Your Exit
by RAYZORBLADE ini know this topic has been touched upon from time to time.
i haven't been on here regularly in many years, but i know what it is like for many; or those that are on their way of exiting the organization.. what songs do you recall or remember during your exodus from the wtbts ??.
i left mentally in the late autumn of 1983; apparently (i don't know officially...but does it really matter?

Pretty much the entire Rage Against the Machine catalogue.
Also, the album London Calling from The Clash. I've been thinking about getting a tattoo of the cover, with Joe Strummer smashing the car.

Music you never noticed was ...
by nibbled ini have friends in very cool jobs.
my world interacts quite often with music stars, and i have interesting conversations.
for instance, i was talking with the members of animal kingdom, and asked the lead singer about the lyrics i picked up while listening them perform for the group a few minutes earlier... i felt stupid because i hadn't realized the name of the song, and only had caught a few lyrics... he wrote of mephistopheles.

Barrold, I don't think Mumford and Sons needs plugging. You'll hear them every 5 minutes on the radio.
I always thought their "Christian" thing was a little obvious.

Is the Truth so delicate?
by Socrateswannabe inthe gb brooks no questions or dissention.
their brand of truth seems quite delicate and incapable of standing up to scrutiny.
"the truth is incontrovertible.
-
MrFreeze
Like I told an elder. "The truth is the truth. Truth is unchanging. That is what makes it the truth."
Truth should have nothing to hide. If the JW's really had the truth, maybe it would actually stand up to any kind of scrutiny. Instead it fails miserably.

NOAHS BIBLICAL FLOOD ACTUALLY HAPPENED, SAYS FAMED ARCHEOLOGIST WHO FOUND THE TITANIC
by ÁrbolesdeArabia inhttp://www.theblaze.com/stories/2012/12/11/noahs-biblical-flood-actually-happened-says-famed-archeologist-who-found-the-titanic/ .
"the story of noah's ark and its associated flood continues to be retold to children and studied by theologians, alike.
while some dismiss it as a mere fable, others believe wholeheartedly that the event literally unfolded, with a massive down-pouring of water ravaging the earth at god's command.

If a global flood happened, wouldn't we find salt deposits just about everywhere? Wouldn't there be no more fresh-water lakes? How did the fresh-water fish survive? Why couldn't God have just struck everyone dead instead of going through the flood ordeal?
