  so my mom is die-hard jw despite disagreeing with some teachings from the gb.

  we were talking today about the generation thing, and she told me the generation teaching was inconsequential.

  i told her how as a child i thought it was huge that the end would come before the 1914 people died.

  whether you believe in the bible or not, these are not completely separate books with nothing related.. this is the tip of the iceberg, but i wanted to demonstrate why i believe there is a deep hidden message in the bible, and that its books are linked.. does the bible itself reveal who the king of the north is?

  (the whole world is trying to 'guess' and 'interpret' and treat all prophecies as individual).

  (warning: this could set off a chain reaction and your searching the entire bible linking and getting better understanding of many prophecies ;) ).

  Wasted life.

  my parents are in their 80's.. they have been jw's since the late 1950's.. they both have serious misgivings about the way the organisation is going & they feel lost.. however it has been a damned hard struggle over all those years being jw's & raising a family in the 'truth' & they do not feel they can turn their back on it.. what can i say to help them?

  My wife's parents are in the same boat. In their late 70s they have come to face the reality that they both of them will taste death before the Big A comes to town. The change in Generation™®© must have been hard on them, but they do not speak of it. At this point, all the fights and arguments have been done and said, and unconditional love is the best support. My wife could not forgive herself if she broke her hearts and faith once more before they die.
