  How do I tell my elderly JW mother that...?

  my wife asked me last night: how do i tell my mother that we have been living a lie?

  then she said: she is in her 70s, all of her friends are jws, she has a routine, things to do that keeps her busy every day, field service, meetings, visiting her jw friends, assemblies, etc.

  why spoil that to her?

  Have your JW Relatives Explained about Generation/Overlap Change to You ?

  after reading on the way out's thread about his mom explaining the generation overlap to him it kicked this idea into my head to make this thread .

  i thought it would be helpful to see if anybody here has had jw relatives or friends try to explain this " generation overlap " theory to you as a faded or inactive witness and what happened in the conversations.

  so please feel free to post your experiences.

  I went to buy a new car today without any money, however, I explained to the sales representative that my bank account number overlaps with that of 3 enineers, 7 doctors, 2 aerospace consultants, 3 lawyers, one Senator and 1 pro Foot Ball player. Somewhat, the poor apostate chose to disbelieve the "EVIDENT" value of this overlap. He will become bird food very very soon.....

  here's a question for you.. what would happen if a jw woman went back and remarried her divorced df'd husband a few years after they had divorced?

  assume that he still does not wish to return to being re-instated.. or what would happen if she just decided to date him again?.

  Is evolution really scientific

  the weekly sales meeting this week, discusses whether or not evolution is really scientific.

  they go to the non reasoning book at page 121 para 4 to page 126 para 2. has anyone critiqued this yet.

  any help would be very much appreciated.

  i haven't been to the board in a while, but i want to share this.

  there is a scientific explantion for some (not necessarily all) ghost sightings: carbon monoxide poisoning.

  soon i realized that there was no staircase behind the wall, only the thickly carpeted front stairs on which no footsteps could be heard.

  according to what appeared in written newspapers and that we can add up, the real number of people who assisted the summer district assemblies in the province of quebec, canada is : 13 500.. .

  assembly at quebec city: 7000.

  1st assembly at sherbrooke : 3500.
