in the 80s there was an bethel elder in the mexico branch, he was graduated along with his wife ruth becerril from gilead school.
he was in charge of meps and the whole computer department... he then started had sex with a 14 year girl in his congregation in the city of texcoco mexico.... he was then df and kicked of bethel but his wife stayed.
he then moved to usa took the girl with him and married her and a couple of years later was re appointed an elder again.. i saw a news article that an elder ex bethelite computer consultant from concord ca with the same name was charged on 1999 by the fbi for having sex with a minor in texas.. both from the same city elders jw and computer consultants.... i wonder what happened with his case..

i am new to this forum.
i was a former jehovah's witness for many years.
i have a question maybe some of you can help me with.
Jojorabbit: I DO remember that phrase being used by some JWs, and it referred to a "figurative" letter of recommendation. In other words, if you had studied with someone to the point that they wanted to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and were baptized, then that person would be viewed as your "letter of recommendation"---a figurative one. I hope that helps. But---clarify something for me. In your opening paragraph you stated that you WERE a "former Jehovah's Witness for many years." Does that mean that you have returned to the Witnesses? Just curious . Best Regards, Everyone.
this man changed your life - did you know that?.
our story begins 6 years later in 1782 in pittsfield, massachusetts.
there is a family of 16 children called the miller family.
Hello, Folks: Some of you who are located in the Southern California area, and have been around for quite some time, might remember the name of a former Witness, Mark Miller (or, Mark Heber Miller), and his biography/history. Several years ago, I found an article about Mark Miller on the Internet, and Mark stated in that article that he was the great-great grandson of William Miller. Just thought I'd mention it. Best Regards, All.....Titch.
i started pioneering in my late teens an remember how slow pioneers would walk to the doors while out in circus.
also, they would not really talk to anybody at all.
they would start their time as soon as they got dressed an out the door, while us regular shucks started our time at the first door we knocked at.
Slimboy: That's called the "IP" knock---the Invisible Presence knock. Oh, yes, they are there, at the door. But, the "knock" is so low in volume that you don't even know that they are there! (They're invisible) I think that I've had a few JWs, at my door, make the "IP" knock. Which is fine with me. Best Regards, Everyone.-----Titch.
in the current situation, it’s worth listening to this podcast about nuclear near misses.
the cuban missile crisis was only one example, but is worth considering.
in 1962 the united states and russia went eyeball to eyeball over russia’s military base in cuba.
Just one other small correction----JFK's brother, Robert F. Kennedy, was the Attorney General, not the Secretary State. Just thought I'd mention that. It didn't change the way that things happened, though. Best Regards, Everyone

Yes, Smiddy3, in the past couple of years, I have received two such letters. But, the ironic thing about them is, that they were written by a couple---a husband and wife---who I once knew, when I was associated with JWs. ---I recognize their first names that they have signed the letter with. Little do they know that their letter/envelope was in the mailbox of a person who is now a fader.....Oh, well. Best Regards, Everyone---Titch.

I can remember, back in the mid-70s, an article in "Awake" Magazine, relating the life experiences of a Witness who had been, at one time, a professional football-playing athlete. I don't recall what professional team that he had played for. I think it was the Cleveland Browns, but I could be wrong on that. At any rate, he came into contact with JWs, studied, and got baptized. The "clincher" for me, was that, he was appointed as an "Elder" after only about 2 years of being associated with the Witnesses. Sheesh! Two years? TWO YEARS??? You have got to be joking! Two years, and appointed as an Elder, or Overseer? An Overseer was supposed to be a "spiritually older man." And, two years of association was considered "spiritually older" and experienced? It just proved to me, in my mind, that the title of "Elder" was just that....a title. Oh, well. Best Regards to all.....Titch.
how many of you missed playing sports in school?
the wt was merely trying to keep us from committing suicide.... how loving.take a look at this fear mongering :problems with sports today - g91 8/22 p. 5. .
"people used to argue that sports were of value because they built character.... such arguments sound hollow, even hypocritical.. .
Well, I don't think that I can say that I "missed" playing sports, when I was in junior high school or high school. A better question would be..."Do you REGRET not playing any sports while in school?" And, in answer to that I would say...NO. I don't regret not playing sports, while in school. I really don't You see, "sports", "athletic activities" were not important things in my life while growing up. They really weren't. I had classmates who were friends, who were student-athletes, who played football, basketball, track and field and other activities. And, I went to football games, or basketball games, etc, to watch the games. But, I don't regret not being part of the high school sports teams. I just don't. Best Regards, Everyone.....Titch.
i missed my 24 hour grocery stores very much!
.
Yes, I do--in the form of 7-11 stores, or Circle K stores. Both stores serve the purpose of being "convenience stores." Best Regards.....Titch.
