Broken familly after my disfellowship, I didn't got any higher education, WT elders acted like policemen if every aspect of my life.
1. I started playing music as a guitarist and I was strongly discouraged by them. It cost me lot because I could get good money working as a profesional musician
2. When I make my own radio station again they threatened me even with disfellowship if I didn't quit.
Just to name the basic...

Most Witnesses Don't Know the "Current Truth" on Matthew 5:5!

if you ask most witnesses what this verse means, they will say that it means those who are meek/mild/humble will be given the earth as a reward to live forever on.
i was surprised to find out that this is not the official watchtower teaching of that verse.

Witness kids coming to you with a problem
by buffalosrfree ini recently had a jdub child come to me with a problem, and was i ever surprised, they could tell that i didn't conform to the party line, even though i have never overtly shown this.
they were depressed that they couldn't talk to their own parents but they can talk to me any ole time.
i am all ears.

Borg similarities to Animal Farm? Absolutely!
by WingCommander ini remember having to read george orwell's "animal farm" in 11th grade.
it was a mandatory assignment and after our readings there were discussions.
a few years later, my own mother whom had worked in a local psychiatric unit related to me that she felt the borganization closely resembled animal farm and also 1984. this was truly striking to me, but now more than ever it makes sense on so many levels.
