I recall that since I was pioneer during the mid 90's. 6 months was more than ok for a person to take a stand along the truth. I don't know what they are doing now, but it seems the end is kind of late...

Does anyone remember the big 6 month Bible study push during the mid 1990s?
by neverendingjourney ini was a regular pioneer for a while during the mid 90s, about a year or two after the knowledge book replaced the live forever book as the primary bible study manual.
around that time the society began to spew a bunch of b.s.
about the end being so near (hadn't heard that one before) and how there were waiting lists for bible studies in many former soviet countries.

Anti-College/Pro-Pioneering Convention Interviews
by Rohag inhere's the text of interviews from the friday afternoon "young people - walk by holy spirit in the congregation" presentation at a 2008 jehovah's witness district convention.
this transcription approximately covers the second half of the presentation.
i've omitted names and locations to preserve individuals' privacy.

Same story goes on and on... I recall my self 25 years ago being interviewed as young pioneer, saying the same shit. I was send to preached about a generation that passed way, about a preaching work that supposed to separate the sheep from the goats. I wasn't supposed to grow this system and I would have seen the end before the year 2000.
I grow old I'm 41 uneducated straggling to survive in this world. I only wish to have seen that I was fooled by a cult and run way from the WT as fast as I could

New Light - July 15, 2008 SE of the WT - Sower and Seed - another angle
by independent_tre ini've seen the topic where they try to explain invisible growth, but something else about this wt magazine stands out.
if this isn't adulterating the word of god, i don't know what is.
the wts has done it again and managed to usurp jesus' position and interject themselves into his place.

Another twisted "explaination" of the WT crap theology. They just can't let the Scriptures speak for themselves. They are always twisting the Bible, verses, they replace words in the Bible(like Cross- Stavros, with wood because they don't believe in Cross) that does not suit them, they even go beyond written, like the drama this year, a mythistorical event!!!
I just don't know how can JW's "eat"that food coming from the FDS without questioning, and in this matter which is direct contradiction in Jesus words

WT theology is closer to the Islamic teachings rather the Christian theology. Actually Islam was consider a Christian Herecy from the Orthodox Apostolic Church since the founder of Islam cleverly combined Christianism and Judaism to form a new religion - Islam
I have seen many common teachings and ideas that Muslims and WT share and when I was have discussion with Muslims I was really supprised to see the common things they had. I recall also the matter of masturbation and it was really funny to see that they have the exact pattern...
Both cults have women in a lower possition in their societies. Take an example how women are treated in the WT. Even for simple decoration in the Kindom hall has to be done by a male. Women enjoy less privelages from other societies .
I recall the WT's policy regarding rape.It was a disfellowship offence if a woman didn't sream!!! And the same principle is carried over the Islamic law. A woman faces death penalty if she doesn't resist rape, and most of the times if a woman press charges against a man who raped her, at the end of the day the charges will shift upon(accusation is adultery)with death penalty.
Both worlds are so supressive towards women, and most of all towards human needs

The changeover to today's disfellowshipping -- 1944
by Fatfreek inif my search backward through watchtower pages is correct, the may 15, 1944 issue was the doctrinal turning point of the disfellowshipping procedure.
prior to that, a behavioral problem of some member was placed before the company (today's congregation) and it was decided by the democratic process.
i don't know whether it was a show of hands, an audible voicing of ayes and nays, a paper ballot, or what.

Perhaps behind the idea of disfellowshipping is good old Freddie, since Knorr acted like a bussiness man in the WT. It was during Knorr's rulership that the WT become even more strict, and more cultish, and it was during that era that the Idea of the Faithfull Slave took the form that exists today.
WT really follows the pattern of other cults like Mormons, Amish, in the shunning policy

The most inappropriate remarks from Jehovahs Witnesses
by jambon1 ini have a few which still either anger me, make me sad or just make me grateful that i am no longer one of them.
1 - "well, everyone is going to die anyway, so if it at armageddon then ce la vie" 2 - "the disater today at the world trade centre is sad, but exciting" 3 - (an elder) "when armageddon happens, i want to be at a window, watching it all".
sick, sick, sick!

I was innactive for few years and I had a visit from the CO and 2 elders to encourage me to start going back to the meetings.
The elder told me is time to be active again because the end is near and I must think of my children(a new born and a 3year old) if I don't want to see them DIE IN ARMAGEDON. I was really pissed off, I wanted to kick them out of my house...
It was the 9/11 incident and all I was hearing in the Kindom Hall it was about the Brothers in Bethel if anyone got killed or injured!!! And I said what about the thousands that died? The reply was "they are wordly people"

What stupid logic the GB have WT Wizard...
Sorry for "killing" the U.S basketball team in the World Championship 2 years ago....I hate when we are bringing up our brudal Hellenic past
The Olympic Games stood as a mark for peace in the Ancient Greece. The Hellenic Kindoms during the Olympic period they had to stop any war that was taking place and participate at the games. Athletes were learning to respect their oponent and to fight for victory in just means. There were times that athletes refused to win because their rival was injured.
I have seen the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004. I felt proud for being Greek but most of all I have seen people from all over the World sitting next to each other and enjoing the games. I will not forget when in a game(I think discs) the judges didn't gave a metal to one of the best athlets. Then the crowd stood and demanded justice!!! At the end the crowd managed to change the wrong decision of the judges!!! It was the first time in history that this happened, but the Greek crowd demanded JUSTICE for that foreign Athlet.
At the end of the games I realize that we the human race have nothing to separate us. No National borders, religion, or country. We are all the same. And we all had a great fun at the end of the Olympics. I did not see any hatred towards anyone, and all supported their country athlets in the best way. But that was it. All of us were happy for everyone. This is the spirit of the games. Because if you wanna big a Great Winner you must learn to accept your defeats.
Olympic games have their dark side, like anything in this World. They have drugs, illegal substances to have a better perfomance, and this is bad. But among the good things we do have some bad. We are not in a perfect world
The FDS are only a banch of old fools that they are champions in "Spiritual Abuse"

JWs insensitivity to human tragedies
by behemot ininsensitivity to tragedy, especially when it interferes with their plans, seems to be the norm among jws.. the story about the kansas city k.h.
suicide, and the concern local jws are showing, mainly toward the rebuilding of the hall, reminded me of something that happened in rome, italy at the 2000 international assembly at the olympic stadium.
i was there as a delegate.. on saturday morning, just before the start of the program, a 27 y.o.

They are indeed. When there is a big disaster like an earthquake, tzunami, they are "THRILLED" because is a "evidence"that the end is near. When there is bombings of innocent people, like the ones U.S does in Afganistan, Iraq, and in the past at Serbia, when we have terrorist attacks, with victims of innocent people, JW's are getting so exited!!!
They are rejoicing for human pain in order to see YHWH bring Armageddon upon the 99,7% population of the world. Once we had a discussion about the big A. The elder claimed that God will make our hearts like stone, so we will NOT have any feelings watching all those people being killed by the hand of God!!!
JW's are a banch of insesitive assholes, hoping to see the rest of the World die in front of their eyes
