God helped me get through it...
by LtCmd.Lore inor: "i couldn't have got through it without god's spirit.".
i hear it constantly, but i have no idea exactly what it's supposed to mean.
so if one of your relatives dies, and you pray for help: unless you die, or have a nervous breakdown you got through it, correct?

What is the Illuminators Book, and why is it a secret WT publication?
by WingCommander ini just caught someone mentioning it on the jw topix forum when discussing the door-to-door field ministry in a thread.
is this a secret publication that is used in pioneer school?
if so, why is it secret?

I do have that book. When I was serving as a pioneer and attended to the pioneers school. Indeed very suspicious title: illuminati, masons, Newo World Order...give food for a lot of conspiracy

If you STILL believe in GOD, what do you believe is the RIGHT way?
by Bourne ini should preface this by saying that this is generally directed towards the premise of still believing in the christian god, the bible as the inspired word of god, and the desire to worship him in spite of the disillusionment of the jw "take" on "true" christianity.. i am left with many unanswered questions, but don't get me wrong, i don't have "having all answers" listed as a prerequisite to worship god, because even the bible doesnt list all answers, ......faith is expected in at least some areas.
so........that said....... please grace little ol' me with your sincere answers to the following questions:.
1. is this the last days?.

Evolution
by B_Deserter ini went to an aquarium this weekend and saw these: link.
here we have a near perfect example of a transitional form between fish and amphibians.
this thing is literally a fish-frog (even possibly a retarded fish-frog!).

There is nothing wrong with evolution. If God decided to create the universe through an evolution proccess is something that we cannot argue. Because evolution it is a fact
For the Orthodox Christian faith it does not matter if God chose this way to create us. We let the scientists explain to us how we involved here. The Church deals with the spiritual matters of humans, the purification of the soul, and to immitate Christ

Only a few are interested in the truth
by Hiddenwindow init occured to me that most jws, as many other religious people are not really looking for the truth; they are rather interested in certain degree of spiritual or emotional confort or at least the illusion of such confort that can be found in cults or religions.
truth inhabits the realm of the intelect, and the intelect is of little use to religious people.
what do you think?.

Yeah, they should go and see how did they started, by visiting Charles Taze Russell, attend to his seremonies, see how on hell he was connected with occult, watch his funeral that was burried under a pyramid in a masonic cementry

$611 Billion - Was it worth it?
by Jourles ina list of things which $611 billion could pay for:.
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/gallery/251007war_costs/.
obviously, 70,000 years of dicek's salary isn't a good example on how to spend it, but some of the others make you think, where did our priorities go?.
