  What do you think about the Muratorian Canon?

  in doing research on this subject, i noticed that the society uses this fragment as a basis for the canon of the nt.

  a glance at the accompanying chart reveals that a number of fourth-century catalogs of the christian scriptures, dated prior to the above-mentioned council, agree exactly with our present canon, and some others omit only revelation.

  The WT really try hard to vanish those who gave the Bible to the world. The facts regarding the Bible are:

  1.The New Testament is written in Greek

  2.The Gospel was preached throught out the Greco/Roman world in the Hellenic(Greek) language

  3.At the time when the Bible Canon was finished with Saint Athanasius 4th century A.D there was only ONE Church. And that was the Holy Catholic Orthodox Apostolic Church. The schisma occured 600 years after that when the West Roman Church(Papal Church) brake way from the Orthodox Apostolic Church. It was the Filioque issue, and the fact that the Pope wanted to have complete control over the Church, something that the East Roman Church could not accept that, because the Church was always acting as Synodic, and as a body, and no Bishop has more power over the others. The Papal Church was burning at the stake those who disagree with their "understanding" of science and many other subjects(see Galileo), the Orthodox Church did not even went to trouble to discuss a matter that for them was a fact: The Earth is round!!! While the Papal Church was falling into more mistakes, and specially the way they intepret the Bible and lead Europe into the Dark Ages forbitting knowledge to the common people, the Orthodox Church never stoped education and searching, and never interfear to the Romanae(Byzantium)Empire, to have Schools, Univercities, Hospitals and knowledge...

  Worshiping the cross

  there is a poster on here called reniaa and she has said a few times that we worship the cross.

  i know i don't and know my family don't.

  so i decided to look into it to find out if what she is saying is true.

  BTS this exactly what I wanted to say.The Jews considered the cross as foolishness, and so do the JW's and the Mormons. We have St.Paul always refering to the Cross as a Symbol of Glory.Gal.2:20 , 5:24

  Also we have archeological proof that the first Christians did HONORED the Cross. The following wall curving was found in Palatine Hill in Rome(first century). It is a mocking of a Christian soldier by one of his fellow soldiers. The transtation from Greek is "Alexamenos Fear's God" . As you see we have the Cross, and instead of Jesus a donkey.So the first century Romans have connected Christians with the Cross and Jesus

  

  Also at the city of Heraklia next to Pompiia (70.AD.)there was a house that it was used as a Church, and a Cross was found. For me as Christian Orthodox the Symbol of Cross is a symbol of Glory over death. Christians we do not worship Cross, but we honor it. For me I have seen the Catacombs in Rome and the Churches that Christians build under the ground and the Orthodox Churches that we have them more than 1700 years.They are the same. With the same Holy Icons, and layout. Inside the Church we worship Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit, and Honor the Holy Mother, and then Saints.

  Jesus died on a Cross, and with His death He gave us eternal life, as long we accept Him to enter to our heart and mind. I consider it as a great privelage to have a piece of the Cross in a monastry in my country. The monastry was built 1500 years ago and keeps a piece of the Sacret Cross. Yes I did honor the Cross of Jesus, and I asked from my Lord to forgive me because I'm a sinner. So I did got down on my knees in front of Jesus Cross and I have cried and pray to Jesus

  I always wear my Cross. I have actually 3 Crosses. A gold one, silver, and a wooden Cross that I have it from a friend who gave it as a present. Most of the time I use the wooden Cross....

  It is the Symbol of Glory over death. I feel so nice that I have it, and specially when I'm wearing it, it is like a reminder for me that I follow Him all the time. It is a great feeling...

  What is the best state to live in in America?

  interested to hear from any who have traveled or moved around a bunch....i am talking climate, nearness to mountains or beach or both, cost of living, etc.....as much as i love what california has to offer naturewise, the natural disasters and cost of living there bum me out....since i like mountains and beach, a climate a little less hot than florida.... i lean toward virginia straight south down through georgia, so both carolinas too.

  maybe maryland too, but the further north you go, the colder the water and worse the winter, but still the new england coastal states are incredible........oompa.

  That is very touching letter...It is exactly the same situation that I'm through after I was disfellowshiped from the WT. It is shame that NO ONE in the WT world will read this, but most of all UNDERSTAND how you feel, and all that pain there is in the letter.

  For them we will always be the evil ones, immoral ones, and the ones who deserve to die in Armageddon....

  It touches my soul your letter......
