I bought and threw out the same Nine Inch Nails album twice, lol. All of my brand new Christmas decorations:( But my Grandma gave me almost all of hers when we quit, and they have much more sentimental value to me, as I remember them from my childhood:) A picture of Jesus that my mom scrimped to buy me the Christmas after she and my dad divorced and she was broke:( Later on, I refused to throw out a picture of the Last Supper that my husband's grandparents gave me, though. The memory of losing the other picture was just too painful. My kid's Harry Potter book he got from the school book fair. Fortunately, he got a replacement copy on his first birthday we were out:) But he still likes to tease me.

i would be a photographer,,,,,,,taking picutures world wide, and hopefully be on the cover of time magazine , national geographic.. my second choice would be a makeup artist like kevin alcoin ( sp) , he could do magic and make anyone look like who he wanted them to be.

I'd like to be a traditional midwife that attends home births. I assisted a midwife for awhile and LOVE it, but unfortunately, due to health problems and familiy obligations, couldn't continue.
I'd also like to be a freelance writer. This one I am actually working on:) -

Do you have a favorite piece of music?
by MorpheuzX ini don't know if this thread has been covered before; do you have a favorite song or piece of music or performer?
i know the question seems juvenile.
but, i'm curious.. mine, i think, is a tie between wladyslaw szpilman's performance of chopin's nocturne in c-sharp minor and angela hewitt's version of bach's goldberg variations -- the aria is divine!.

Schubert's "Ave Maria" for guitar Erik Satie's Gymnopedies and Gnossienne No. 4 Vivaldi's Four Seasons Everything Enya Creed's "What If"-I will forever be greatful to the band for that song-it's one that really made me THINK Evanescence's "My Immortal" Pink Floyd's album The Wall, and the song, "Dark Side of the Moon" Tori Amos' "Carnival" Queensryche's "Silent Lucidity" And, gearing up for St Patty's day- Metallica's "Whiskey In a Jar";) There is also a piece that I heard in my history of music class that I keep thinking about. It's been driving me NUTS for the past few weeks, because little bits of it keep running through my head, but I can't remember the name of it!

OOOOH Fark, I'm so jealous! You actually got to see... A Bugatti;)
I had an '87 Daytona Shelby Z for awhile. The former owner rode her pretty hard, though, and I blew her engine up (waaaahhh-my poor baby!!). I couldn't find a turbo replacement, and HATED the regular engine that was installed, so I sold it.No comparison to the original, of course:)
I have a Talon now. No turbo, but it gets me around.
My landlord collects Indy cars. We have two of them in our basement. They are the second and third concept cars that were built, but I can't for the life of me remember what they are! -

Yep-full blown lizard lover here, lol. I think I was smitten when I was living in the Philipines. I don't remember much about living there-I was only two. I do remember the lizards that "stuck" to the ceiling, though.
Geckos are definitely grouchy. I talked to the owner of a pet store about them, and she said she hated to clean their cages.
My sister has an iguana, but I find them a little big and a bit touchy. My sis got slapped by hers when she tried to get her out to clean her tank. I guess they can really whip ya with their tails. I prefer a smaller lizard, thank you:)
Have you ever heard of a Chinese Water Dragon? They are very pretty, but get to be five feet long when full grown. -

Well, in theory I shouldn't have, but I could never grasp the concept of eternal life. I planned my whole funeral when I was a JW in my mid twenties, lol (I insisted on being cremated). I used to visit cemetaries, and found them very peaceful places. It seemed to me that death was harder on the living than on those who had died. And the idea of dying at Armageddon didn't seem like such an awful thing, anyway. I couldn't fathom a God of love being sadistic when he killed people. It wasn't until just before I quit that I realized how barbaric the idea of a God killing off a whole bunch of people just because they wouldn't worship him the way he required seemed ludacrist.

Absolute truth of life's mysteries can not really be proven ..,,right?
by LyinEyes inshe really believes in some of the things she said, others things she is speculating on she admitted.... i admired her open mind to not thinkng she has all the answers.
she is not a christain she said.
my son and husband sat up for along time, comparing notes , debating on comparing what the bible says, what scientific evidence, historical evidence says, regarding jesus.

I know where you're coming from, Dede. I've wrestled with this issue even before I left the organisation.
Now I'm not so sure I want to know the absolute truth. The magic is in the mystery. I'll never stop learning, and I'm not so keen on authoritative anything now. I'm finding experiencing much more to my liking. Are my experiences "truth"? I don't know, and I don't really care. I think the person who said "It isn't the destination, it's the journey that counts" had a good point. -

Hi Terri, We used to have an anole my kids caught in Florida. He got pretty friendly, but it took about a year. He would eat mealworms out of our hands! I really love the green ones! Godzilla was just a standard. The long tailed ones are really awesome, though. I might get one long tailed and one green. They are in the same aquarium at Pet Smart. I was planning on doing a terrarium-hmmm, maybe he wouldn't notice them in amongst all the greenery:) We are trying to butter the landlord up right now by paying our rent ahead. His daughter told us we are the only tenants who have EVER done that, so maybe... I plan to buy an under the tank heater, in addition to the heat rock we already have. Our other guy got kind of cold:( We're pretty sure he died of old age, though. We had him about three years, and he was full grown when we got him. Right now, I'm just trying to be content with my anole candle stick holders, and resisting the temptation to name them, lol.
