Mum is coming over today
by Es ineven tho i have left the "truth" not officially (long story) but in my heart i have, and i havent been to a meeting in bout 2 years or so.....and my parents know where i stand with the truth, i still stress out when my mum or dad pops in to say hello (not that is is regular).
but today my mum is coming ova, my relationship has been really strained the last 3 months so i havent seen a lot of them.
but instead of feeling good bout it im running round my place hiding things such as recent bday cards and my fiances clothes and movies.

Do you like your given name?
by Outaservice inthe bible attaches importance to your name, do you like yours.

Black Sheep, A homosexual biblical character?! Do tell!
I like my name now, because it is a bit unusual, but didn't much like it when I was growing up. I LOVE my husband's surname, & changed to it even though I am a strident feminist. I will keep the name even if I chuck him!

A very lonely life.
by Harpy inhow do i stop having a lonely life?
i am 33 years old and have never had a relationship with anyone.
i have never dated..and as much as i would like to blame the jws, truth is i have never been asked out by anyone..ever.. i am a bit large, but i am not too fat or ugly and i think i am a good person, so why can't i find someone??

Hi Harpy, all of the suggestions have been great. I asked a similar question here a few years ago because it is hard when you are older & have no dating experiences. My advice would be to find out what you would like to do & try to make your life happier for yourself. If you see a nice guy, ask him out. I did!
Preston, I don't think your advice was stupid. I thought about that at one stage, just to get the first godawful time over & done with! It's not illegal here! I didn't, but I wouldn't advise against it. Sex is this huge mystery until you've have it - & yes, of course it's great with someone you love, but sex can be just for you, too!! Sex doesn't equal love, but a healthy sex life can make you happier!
My two cents.

I am scared of my future marriage
by jwbot ini am watching oprah (right now actually) and the topic hits close to home.
good timing actually, because yesterday i was thinking of talking with my fiance, mike about this very thing.
you see, mike really loves kids, and we plan to have them eventually, its a very important part in our relationship (to him, mostly).

Just my 2 cents:
You definitely don't sound ready for kids yet (but then again, who ever is?) The difference between love for your child & partner is that love for a partner is conditional (or should be, if you have any self-respect) on things like faithfulness (whatever values are important to you). Your love for your child will blow you away - it is unselfish & unconditional. Both can coexist, but in order to love a child you become a little less selfish - it is not about how others see you, it is about what is in your heart & soul.
Good luck, & congrats on your upcoming wedding.

some please make sense of this!
by sad and lonely inhi people!..i have a serious question.and i often wonder have anyone one earth thought this way too!
why when there's a funeral the preacher always say..."got called his son or daughter home.i went to a family funeral, not this relative lived a bad (with a capital bad) life.the family knew it.he was evil, hateful, treated people wrong, yet the preacher said he's gone to heaven...so i'm now thinking then what the hell!..is hell for.no matter what i always hear the preacher say that person is gone to heaven...i asked my brother-in-law,why don't anyone say ...this person is in hell(since hell is suppose to be a place for the sinners)are the preachers afraid to say that around the families?i'm confused!
