I miss my friends too, and would take them back in a heartbeat! I shunned one of my closest friends when she left, I didn't even go to her wedding, and she has never held it against me. Luckily I left and we are still good friends, but I left others inside the cult and it breaks my heart sometimes ...

Does anyone feel like me???... am I obsessed.
by zagor ini don't know if something is wrong with me or with entire setup of things.
i mean every time i think about wtbs i get angry and frustrated which is beyond the reason.
and most interesting part is i'm not getting any better, looks like i'm going nuts every time somebody mention anything even remotely related to wtbs.

I still get huge feelings of anger, particularly if I hear something an dub ex-friend may have said about me or to me, or even thinking of them living their lives without me ... I am very angry that my friendships were conditional, that I wasn't given the opportunity to go to uni, or even to work full-time, or to travel, or to have real friends, or a boyfriend. I wasted 6 years of my life trying to pioneer. I am now 28, playing catch-up with education, finances & social life, not to mention emotionally/financially.
It helped that I wrote a thesis on the Witnesses in Australia (take that, Watchtower! ) & that my parents left about a year ago, so I now have them back. However, the pain of the shunning will always stay with me, as will my lack of trust in any relationship etc etc. I've been out for four years, completed my degree, married, had a baby, have made some good friends, but I still feel crippled and occasionally something will happen that will make me very upset again.
So good luck, and just try to work through the feelings. They are valid.

sometimes i wish i was still a jw cuz then i wouldn't have disappointing birthdays!
then again, i can probably deal with the disappointment better cuz i have nothing to compare it with.

Just had my wisdom teeth yanked out.... picture goodness

I've got a big hole from a wisdom tooth extraction about 3/4 weeks ago, & every now & then I get a morsel of food in my mouth & go 'where did that come from?' GROSS
Mine was already out of the gum, got a local anaesthetic & it only took 10 minutes, didn't feel a thing. Hurt like hell later though ...
