  they were together for a period of years.

  he told the elders, but they said there was nothing that could be done.

  this hole ( ahem ) subject of marriage consummation--means what exactly--?--

  -is it purely sexual intercourse with the intent to cause pregnancy?

  or--what if a condom is used--or--anal / oral sex?

  as for annulment--what a farce---my girlfriend is philipina--divorced in the UK--but not in her home country.

  in the last 4 months my eyes have been opened to ttatt, my biggest issue is that the elders have been grooming me to appoint me as an elder.

  trying to convince my wife not to confess...

  what about headship--? surely if a wife has a problem--she should go to her husband first. then--IF---IF---he feels the need to go blabbing to the elders--its HIS decision.

  erghhhh..... don't become a lawyer or an engineer, a doctor or a nurse or a teacher.... come spend 3 years working for us at our factory for free.

  i think the biggest fear the watchtower soc has--is africa

  ive recently been lurking on various facebook jw sites--and a lot of those african brothers are trouble looking for somewhere to happen. and i bet the WTS pumps more $ into there than they ever get back. bad business plan.

  my philipina fiancee said she knows a fair few jw's--even dated one years ago. they really do have strong family bonds. shunning there isnt quite what the GB have in mind-----

  Does Anyone Feel the Ministerial School Helped Them?

  as a born-in, i was eager to join the ministry school.

  my cousins were also born-in but lived in different states.

  there was keen competition to see who could do mature things, such as baptism (my mom said when i was 35) and ministry school.

  i remember--back in the 60's--in west bromwich--UK--a lovely warm hearted west indian bro---who had no concept of timing.

  end of his minskool talk--buzzer sounds--he ignores it--so--after another minute--2 bros walk up on the stage and frog-march him off---still giving his talk.

  i was in tears.
